Wingnut Welfare: Ginni Thomas Edition
Tweet
Tucker Carlson will now be the right-wing benefactor doling out money to keep Ginni Thomas’ pockets full.
Things like this amaze me that conservatism is a serious movement in America that has had power at some point.
Daily Caller Was Working On Smear Job Vs Writer Who Exposed Kochs
Tweet

Conservative journalism strikes again, this time sneaking around for an attack on New Yorker write Jane Mayer, whose story on the Kochs funding of the right angered many cons.
For several weeks, the Daily Caller, a conservative Web site — co-founded by Tucker Carlson and Neil Patel, a former aide to former vice president Dick Cheney — have had a reporter poking around what they thought would be a scandalous story about Mayer.
The allegations were serious — that Mayer borrowed or plagiarized from a liberal blogger and other mainstream publications for an Aug. 30 smackdown in The New Yorker on the conservative billionaire brothers Charles and David Koch. In the end, even the Daily Caller found the allegations to be unfounded, and to its credit, abandoned the story.
Just the latest adventure for Tucker Carlson’s Toilet Paper Site.
Daily Caller Idiot Tucker Carlson Sent Around Phony Olbermann Emails
Tweet
Conservative journalism strikes again.
Tucker Carlson boasted in July that his site, the Daily Caller, had bought the domain name for liberal MSNBC host Keith Olbermann. Carlson, a conservative journalist and pundit, even said he would start using the email address keith@ keitholbermann.com as a gag.
So it was interesting to see that Olbermann allegedly sent some angry emails to the Philadelphia Daily News’ Stu Bykofsky using the email address keith@ keitholbermann.com.
Phawker.com, which published the exchange, claimed it was “guaranteed 100% for real.”And Bykofsky later confirmed to media industry watcher Jim Romenesko that he was writing to keith@ keitholbermann.com, which he believed to be Olbermann.
Although emails were indeed sent back and forth, it wasn’t Olbermann on the other end.

Daily Caller, Instapundit Team Up To Smear Jon Stewart
Tweet
Comedian James Urbaniak tweeted a joke about Sarah Palin, and the Daily Show used a similar joke.
At 12:04pm, Tucker Carlson’s Daily Caller accuses Jon Stewart of “lifting” the joke.
At about 2pm, Urbaniak makes clear that the incident was a case of parallel thinking from the Daily Show staff (Seriously, like TDS needs to lift jokes about Sarah effing Palin? I can make jokes about Palin and I’m an amateur)
Gawker, the source of the Caller’s story, posted an update.
Yet 8 hours later, Instapundit just regurgitates the Caller’s flawed story.
This isn’t a fluke, folks, this is how they operate.
