VIDEO: Even Fox Business Thinks Birther Jerome Corsi Is Stupid

9:58 am EST May 19th, 2011 | Conservative, Media | 31 Comments

This is pretty hilarious.

It’s worth reminding people that this was the man who co-authored the Swift Boat book the right used to fuel their attacks on John Kerry.

News Corp. Plays Both Sides Of The Green Issue

11:30 am EST April 21st, 2011 | Conservative | 1 Comment

My colleague Sarah Pavlus has written a great story on how Fox/News Corp. simultaneously pushes “green initiatives” then attacks them on Fox:

When Murdoch launched his company-wide initiative to radically reduce News Corp.’s carbon footprint and combat climate change, one business expert said that it “could be one of the most brilliant strategic moves I’ve ever heard of.”

With Fox News, explained Joe Priester of the University of Southern California, News Corp. had secured a lucrative spot with conservative consumers but had alienated those at the opposite end of the political spectrum. By launching its climate initiative, the company could make a play for more liberal consumers too.

But now Murdoch’s attempt to promote — and profit from — contradictory messages on climate change could put News Corp. on a collision course with its green-conscious advertisers, as environmental organizations that have partnered with the company start to speak out on the damage being done by Fox News.

Fox Birther Channel: Palin Edition

10:14 am EST April 11th, 2011 | Conservative | 9 Comments

The funny thing is, Sarah Palin’s newfound interest in birtherism is probably directly tied to the fact that she’s dropped like a rock in the polling for 2012. Pathetic, racist, and stupid. The trifecta!

Fox News Exec Admits They Just Lied About Obama & Socialism

9:25 am EST March 29th, 2011 | Conservative, Media | 38 Comments

Of course.

In newly uncovered audio, a Fox News executive boasts that he lied repeatedly during the closing days of the 2008 presidential campaign when he speculated on-air “about whether Barack Obama really advocated socialism.”

Speaking in 2009 onboard a pricey Mediterranean cruise sponsored by a right-wing college, Fox Washington managing editor Bill Sammon described his attempts the previous year to link Obama to “socialism” as “mischievous speculation.” Sammon, who is also a Fox News vice president, acknowledged that “privately” he had believed that the socialism allegation was “rather far-fetched.”

Fox News Confuses Nuclear Power Plant With Sonic The Hedgehog Villain

9:07 am EST March 15th, 2011 | Conservative, Media | 4 Comments

These things from Fox are a lot funnier when you quit pretending they’re an actual news channel.

A quick Googling of “shibuyaeggman” turned up no meaningful results. A Nexis search was also fruitless. However, further inquiries revealed that Eggman is the name of a dance club in a trendy neighborhood of Tokyo called… Shibuya. And, it just so happens, the Fox graphic appears to place the alleged reactor in Tokyo.
