Black Conservative Recyling, Again

So, do you remember Nate Whigham? He’s the pyramid scheme guy who was also featured in Tea Party: The Movie. Well I hope Nate is being well paid for his multiple roles as a black conservative, because wouldn’t you know it… Nate shows up yet again in this trailer (at 2:56) for a new movie (sponsored by the lobbyists at Freedomworks) that compares the Democratic party to the plantation and black cons as “runaway slaves.”
Black conservatives: The five of them are really in demand.
“Year Of The Black Republican” As Palin-Endorsed Fox Yakker Angela McGlowan Goes Down In Flames
Tweet
State Sen. Alan Nunnelee, a favorite among the Republican establishment, won Mississippi’s 1st Congressional District Republican primary Tuesday, results show.
With 95 percent of precincts counted, Nunnelee had 51 percent of the vote to 33 percent for former Eupora mayor Henry Ross and 16 percent for Fox News commentator Angela McGlowan, WLBT-TV, Jackson, reported.
She didn’t even come in second.
NY Times Catalogs Another Year Of The Black Republican
Tweet
The Times writes up the many black candidates running in the GOP this year. Of course most, if not all of them, are doomed to fail. But it’s hilarious when the media and politicos pretend like they have a snowball’s chance.
At some point, the Republican party may be able to appeal to enough black voters to elect black Republican members of congress, but as long as you’ve got a party with leaders heralding the confederacy… it’s not going to go far.
Is William Owens The Tea Party’s Designated Black Guy?
From a Fox News (of course) article trying to dispute the racial epithets that were used on Sunday by Tea Party activists vs Democratic members of congress:
‘Never did I hear any type of racial slur,’ said William Owens, a black Tea Party activist from Nevada who joined in the D.C. protests Saturday.
Here’s video of Owens & his wife on the “Tea Party Express” tour.
Here’s Owens flying to CPAC for Tea Party Express
From his bio
William Owens is a frequent radio guest on shows across the country, and has been interviewed regarding his stance against the Obama administration, and for his insights as a conservative Black American.
In 2008, before the tea party movement started he – of course – wrote an anti-Obama book.
And here’s an article about Owens and Lloyd Marcus, the guy who sings the Tea Party theme song, aka the other black guy in the tea party movement.
Kenneth Gladney
Tweet
Kenneth Gladney is the black conservative who is the current poster boy for the thug right. His account of a beating at the hands of union members is pretty suspect. And considering the history of black conservatives willing to do anything for a buck, I’d take the testimony of Kenneth Gladney with a giant grain silo of salt.

Deneen Borelli, Conveniently Black In Service Of The Right Wing National Center for Public Policy
Tweet
This is Deneen Borelli. She works for the National Center for Public Policy.

National Center for Public Policy is funded by entities like ExxonMobil to attack global warming research. They were also one of the top defenders of corrupt former Republican majority leader Tom DeLay, going so far as to launder money for him. One of their projects is a blackwashing entity called Project 21. Project 21 exists to employ black people who have no qualms about attacking the civil rights movement while being paid by wealthy right-wingers (click here for some of the really dumb stuff Mychal Massie of Project 21 regularly vomits on America).
That’s where Deneen Borelli comes in. She’s the subject of a press release this group put out, with the laughable headline “Black Activist Slams “Stimulus” Spending Making Billions Available to ACORN”. Of course, that headline makes it look like a real civil rights activist is coming out against ACORN (the newest right wing boogeyman since the election). In fact it seems ACORN isn’t even eligible for these funds the right is hyperventilating over.
Deneen Borelli, this “black activist” has argued that blacks shouldn’t support Obama’s agenda, said that somehow Rev. Wright’s comments pointed to a secret belief among black churches, and – apparently with a straight face – claimed that anti-global warming policies hurt black business.
In other words, Deneen Borelli works the corner of political commentary, putting a black face on the same old warmed over conservative nonsense that helped knock America off track. She should be ashamed of what she does, but I guess the dollar bills sop up her tears.

Blackwell’s In
Tweet
So now Ken Blackwell, the black Republican former Secretary Of State for Ohio, is running for RNC chair. This, with Michael Steele, makes up all the black Republicans.
You might remember Blackwell for most recently trying to disqualify black voters in 2004, or for getting his butt kicked by 23% in the 2006 Ohio gubernatorial race.
