“At a news conference late this evening, a police spokesman said Curtis Lavell Vance, 28, Marianna, Ark., is wanted for Pressly’s murder. They said they believe Vance is driving a black 1998 Oldsmobile Aurora, and said he was believed to be armed with a 9mm High Point pistol with extra ammunition. Vance was believed to be traveling with a woman named Sheanika Cooper, 25, and three small children, police said.” [Link]

“The children, all younger than 18 and part of the Tony Alamo Christian Ministries, were taken while custody hearings were being held for six girls seized during a September raid of Alamo’s compound in Fouke, in southwest Arkansas. The court must decide whether the girls should be returned to their parents or remain in state care.” [Link]

“KATV anchor Anne Pressly, 26, was found about 4:30 a.m. Monday by her mother, who went to the house when her daughter didn’t answer a wake-up call, Little Rock police spokesman Cassandra Davis said. Davis said investigators are talking to Pressly’s co-workers to determine whether she ‘has had any problems.’” [Link]
“Alamo was staying at a hotel in Flagstaff, Ariz., when arrested, said FBI spokesman Steve Frazier in Little Rock. The religious leader — who began his career as a California street preacher in 1966 — was scheduled for a federal court appearance Friday in Flagstaff.” [Link]
