“Defensive end Jackson Jeffcoat made his long-waiting college decision on Friday morning. The Plano West star picked Texas ahead of finalists Oklahoma and Houston, where his dad, Jim, is the defensive line coach.” Link

Bleacher Report columnist notes: “Lane Kiffin allegedly lied before heading off to his destination in Los Angeles, by stating that he will not recruit the players that go to UT unless they call him. The snafu is that his recruiter, Ed Orgeron, slipped up and stated to reporters that they initiated many cell phone calls to some of the 26 Tennessee recruits that they both received commitments from. It has also been stated that Kiffin’s recruiter also told players not to attend spring classes for the week. In addition, students were also offered USC scholarships.” Link

“Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Indianapolis Colts coach Tony Dungy addressed USF players on Monday afternoon and told them he met with the school athletic director on Sunday. While some USF boosters would like to see the school offer the position to Dungy, it is possible he is simply acting as a consultant.” Link

“Pete Carroll has resigned as the football coach of the USC Trojans, the Los Angeles Daily News reported Sunday. Carroll has reached an agreement in principle with the Seattle Seahawks on a deal to be their next head coach, multiple NFL sources confirmed to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter early Saturday morning.” Link
