Google Nexus One Delayed In UK
“Google’s attempt to break into the mobile phone market has hit serious problems in Britain with the launch of its flagship Nexus One device understood to have been delayed until the middle of next month. The setback means that by the time Google’s first own-branded foray into the market this side of the Atlantic is available to consumers, its local network partner Vodafone will have launched a competing product, which analysts say is better, called the HTC Legend.” Link

Goldman Sachs Cuts Nexus One Sales Forecast

“Investment banking and securities firm Goldman Sachs is more or less giving up on Google’s Nexus One. A note Goldman Sachs published this week indicates that it’s cut its 2010 sales forecast by a whopping 71.4 percent. As reported by the Wall Street Journal, the note stated, “We previously estimated that Google might sell 3.5 mn Nexus One units in 2010.” Now, after seeing some data from Flurry, “We forecast that Google sells 1.0 mn Nexus One units in FY2010 . . .”" Link

20% Of Korean Students Are Sexting
“Following research on 1,612 middle and high school students nationwide, 323 respondents, accounting for 20 percent of the total, have engaged sexting, a combination of sex and texting. About 21.9 percent had taken nude or semi-nude pictures of themselves or their peers, while 2.8 percent recorded themselves or their friends’ masturbating or having sex. About 5.2 percent had sent sexually explicit text messages or emails. Many of them said it was just for fun or out of curiosity but about 17 percent said sexting could be a way to flirt with their love interests in the online world. ” [Link]

Sprint Launching 4G WiMax Cellphone By Summer 2010

“Sprint tells Forbes its first 4G handset will launch in the first half of 2010–a few months earlier than many expected. The phone will run on the 4G WiMax network Sprint has been building with wireless Internet service provider Clearwire Corp. (Sprint owns 51% of Kirkland, Wash.-based Clearwire.) This 4G service is currently available in 27 U.S. markets covering more than 30 million people and will extend to Houston, Tex. in the next few weeks.
