Timothy Wayne Hammerstone: Disney Worker Arrested For Child Porn On Xbox
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office says Timothy Wayne Hammerstone of Polk City worked at the commissary at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Hammerstone was being held Sunday on 16 counts of possession of child pornography. Jail records did not show whether he was represented by at attorney.
Investigators say Hammerstone communicated with boys in California using his Xbox gaming system. One boy’s mother contacted police after he sent naked photographs to Hammerstone.
Clay Sannar: Mormon Bishop Shot & Killed
Clay Sannar, 42, a lay bishop with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was doing administrative paperwork on Sunday between church services when a man came into the Visalia church and asked for a leader of the church, said church official Ralph Jordan.
After being directed to Sannar, the attacker shot and killed him, said Visalia police chief Colleen Mestas. Visalia is southeast of Fresno, in California’s Central Valley.
Shooting Spree In Slovakia Capital Kills Six
A man armed with a shotgun opened fire in a street in Slovakia’s capital Bratislava Monday, killing six people and injuring 14, emergency services said.
“There were 13 injured and six casualties, four women and two men,” news agency TASR quoted Dominika Sulkova from the national rescue service as saying.
Police declined to comment, saying they would provide information later. The Devinska Nova Ves district of Bratislava where the shooting took place was sealed off by police roadblocks, television TA3 reported.

Possible E. Coli Beef Recalled From BJ’s Wholesale
A few tons of ground beef from a meat processor in Pennsylvania have been recalled over fear of possible E. coli contamination. As of early Monday morning, the only retail outlets identified as possibly having received the ground beef were BJ’s Wholesale clubs in Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York and Virginia.
The source of the potentially tainted meat was Cargill Meat Solutions Corp. in Wyalusing, PA, which shipped the 42-pound packs out to distributors on June 11 for repackaging in to consumer-size packages.

Rumor: Cisco Offers To Buy Skype
Cisco has reportedly made an offer to acquire internet phone firm Skype before it completes its planned initial public offering, according to Techcrunch.
Techcrunch said the rumor came from one of its more reliable sources but it has not been able to confirm anything. If it’s true, the deal could be a big one as Skype is gunning for a valuation of $5 billion.

Report: Google In Talks With Hollywood For Pay Per View Movie Site

Google is reportedly in advanced negotiations with major Hollywood movie studios to launch a streaming, pay-per-view movie rental site by the end of 2010.
The site would be either part of or connected to YouTube, and Google would use its massive search and video empires to direct new users to the new service, helping it stand toe-to-toe with Apple and other competitors in the space.
