The Connecticut for Lieberman Party is calling on Senator Joseph Lieberman to resign from the U.S. Senate following his remarks made Sunday on CBS’ Face the Nation regarding military action against Iran.
Lieberman said on the national television program that, “we’ve got to be prepared to take aggressive military action against the Iranians.”
The Connecticut for Lieberman Chair, Dr. John Orman, called for Lieberman’s resignation saying that he “crossed the line” and “no longer represents the views of the citizens of Connecticut.”
Orman, a longtime critic of Lieberman, took control of the minority party back in January.

Independent senator Joe Lieberman still sees awesomeness in Iraq.
Who do you trust? The answer does not rhyme with "Joe Lieberman" (And never mind that he promised the voters he would "help end the war in Iraq", that’s one of those inconvenient truths Al Gore is always talking about).
That’s the kind of rhetoric deceitful warmonger Joe Lieberman echoes with phrases like “Vituperation Toxicity”.
I beg for the electorate to give us 60 Democrats in the Senate so we no longer have to entertain the rambling lies of a turd-stain warmonger like Joe Lieberman (I-CT).
Considering the drag/lack of help he was on Al Gore, as a Democrat I’d love to see Hanoi Joe Lieberman on the GOP ticket.
ALSO: The idea that the Dems should totally stifle themselves in order to appease Lieberman when the Senate’s in a logjam on Iraq without a 60+ vote majority anyways, doesn’t really pass the smell test.
For inflicting upon us for six more years the dumbest warmongering senator alive, Joe Lieberman.
A protester reminds Joe Lieberman of the drowning of New Orleans in Hurricane Katrina and the White House’s neglect.
I can’t wait until the Democrats increase their senate majority to a safe number so we can tell the independent non-Democrat Joe Lieberman to take a long walk of a short pier as he continues to service George Bush.
Joe Lieberman (aka sack of crap) is getting campaign help from the Swift Boat smear artists. That’s right, Joe Lieberman, the self-annointed martyr of the Democratic tradition, is being helped by the perpetrators of one of the worst electoral smear jobs in history. I wonder what those Conneticut Democrats who pulled the lever for John Kerry two years ago think about that?
One of the consistent storylines peddled by the right and repeated ad infinitum by the lapdog msm is that somehow its symbolic of something mean that the Democrats have thrown aside their previous vice presidential candidate for president.
But the idea that there has ever been any groundswell for Joe Lieberman is faulty. Al Gore picked Lieberman for his running effort in a misguided tactic to bring aboard someone who had publicly condemned President Clinton and shore up the Jewish vote. Of course, Lieberman failed at both efforts and never even had the decency to direct his energy 100% at running for vice president.
In 2004, there were groundswell efforts to have either Wes Clark or John Edwards picked as Kerry’s running mate (I specifically voted for Edwards in the Massachusetts primary to demonstrate that there was a strong Edwards contingent out there). There has never been any such love or interest in Lieberman. It’s a myth.
National Review endorses Joe Lieberman. Isn’t that the kind of stuff that got him in trouble in the first place?

Rahm Emanuel: "This shows what blind loyalty to George Bush and being his love child means"
Lieberman concedes. I don’t know about you, but I believe that the Democratic party’s support must be for the Democratic nominee for Senate — Ned Lamont.
For Joe Lieberman, I think the Dixie Chicks say it best:
I’m not ready to make nice
I’m not ready to back down
I’m still mad as hell and
I don’t have time to go round and round and round
It’s too late to make it right
I probably wouldn’t if I could
‘Cause I’m mad as hell
Can’t bring myself to do what it is you think I should

What Joe Lieberman has reaped from pissing on his own party.
The latest USA Today/Gallup poll finds Lieberman with
the worst ratings from Democrats nationally since Gallup first measured
his image in 2000. As a result, he is now more popular with Republicans
than with supporters of his own party. Among Republicans and Republican
"leaners," a plurality of 46% view Lieberman favorably, while 27% view
him unfavorably.
