Bring It On, Bitches

Let the cockroaches come into the light so we can squash them.

Neo-Nazi, skinhead and segregationist groups have reported gains in numbers of visitors to their Web sites and in membership since the senator from Illinois secured the Democratic nomination June 3. His success has aroused a community of racists, experts said, concerned by the possibility of the country’s first black president.

“I haven’t seen this much anger in a long, long time,” said Billy Roper, a 36-year-old who runs a group called White Revolution in Russellville, Ark. “Nothing has awakened normally complacent white Americans more than the prospect of America having an overtly nonwhite president.”

It’s their last yell before they go the way of the dinosaur. Yell, so we know who you are.

I’d call them jackasses, not bitches.

“Overtly non-white” is an interesting phrase. Like it’s OK if you’re not white as long as you don’t make too big a deal about it by being flagrantly black or something.

I can’t help but think that at least a portion of any increase in traffic to these sites is from people wondering how the nutjob community is reacting to Obama’s candidacy, rather than people wanting to join up.

I’m looking forward to seeing these Neanderthals lose their f*cking minds (even more so).

It has been quite awhile (years perhaps) since I’ve been back here… When I saw the “…About Obama” and “…About McCain” links, on the top heading bar, of this site, I was kinda hoping that Oliver opposes both Obama and McCain, like many liberals, conservatives, and libertarians do.

As for this supposed news, it is quite disturbing… But I think that many of those who will be opposing Senator Obama, in this upcoming election, will also be those from other ethnic minority groups.

I just find it hilarious that the guy who runs StormFront has the last name Black. They’re a sad, dying breed, and in the long term having Obama as president will further decrease their numbers.

Ah. . . .all that latent and not so latent hate.
War, gas prices, bad schools, no jobs, failing infrastructure–
didn’t move the idiot haters. But a
“overtly non white” who happens to be half white–did.
    Sad, sad, stupid losers.

It’ll be good to flush all this racist claptrap out from underneath the rocks from where they’ve stung us the last 30 years so we can finally squash them underfoot.

What about groups like the Council of Conservative Citizens (CCC–get it?), the barely under the radar group for Trent Lott types. I’d keep an eye on them groups too (I think they’re known as “Republicans” in the south).

I’d avoid comparing these Neanderthals to cockroaches, Oliver. I think cockroaches outlasted the dinosaurs, in fact.

I’ll be looking for McSame to denounce the support of these white racists. Oh, that’s right only black candidates have to denounce radical elements from their race.

I’d avoid comparing these Neanderthals to cockroaches, Oliver.

Me too, but for different reasons. See Rwanda.

“I haven’t seen this much anger in a long, long time,” said Billy Roper, a 36-year-old who runs a group called White Revolution

That sounds like the typical marketing quote along the line of, “Our overseas sales are exploding,” or, “We just can’t keep up with all the orders!”

Now those guys know how the rest of us felt when a couple of right-wing wanna-be dictators took over the Executive Branch.

Why didn’t the Washington Post ask US how we felt about the authoritarian takeover?

To some extent we are defined by who doesn’t like us. The more of these asshats that are exposed, the better Obama looks.

And another thing. When is the Firefox ™ spell checker going to start recognizing the words Barack Obama?

As for “overtly non-white”- I guess for the openly racist fringe, every US president since at least FDR was a “race traitor”, wich, for them, might count as “covertly non-white”.

    Oliver,

You talk about conquering bigotry. I thought you’d be interested in this:

“These days, men sometimes face the B-word, too. The reason it’s insulting to call a man a bitch is the same reason men don’t want to, for example, hit the baseball “like a girl.” To call a man a bitch is calling him a woman. In our sexist society, that alone is an insult.”

“The social consequences of the lingusitic effeminitization of men are nontrivial. Boys and girls hear boys and men say things like “he throws like a girl” or “he’s my bitch” and an inevitable consequence of this is that the boys and girls who do (which will likely be most of them) will learn however nonconsciously that there must be something not so good about girls and women.”
