Projection: Bush Family Profited From Nazis

This article is popping up again after Bush’s attack in foreign territory.

George Bush’s grandfather, the late US senator Prescott Bush, was a director and shareholder of companies that profited from their involvement with the financial backers of Nazi Germany.

The Guardian has obtained confirmation from newly discovered files in the US National Archives that a firm of which Prescott Bush was a director was involved with the financial architects of Nazism.

His business dealings, which continued until his company’s assets were seized in 1942 under the Trading with the Enemy Act, has led more than 60 years later to a civil action for damages being brought in Germany against the Bush family by two former slave labourers at Auschwitz and to a hum of pre-election controversy.

The evidence has also prompted one former US Nazi war crimes prosecutor to argue that the late senator’s action should have been grounds for prosecution for giving aid and comfort to the enemy.

And the legacy continues to this day.

When President George W. Bush froze assets connected to Osama bin Laden, he didn’t tell the American people that the terrorist mastermind’s late brother was an investor in the president’s former oil business in Texas. He also hasn’t leveled with the American public about his financial connections to a host of shady Saudi characters involved in drug cartels, gun smuggling, and terrorist networks.

    And continues.

According to an article in the May 5 issue of New Yorker magazine, several bin Laden family members — part of a large, Saudi Arabian family that made a fortune in the construction business — invested about $10 million in a private equity fund operated by former subsidiary of Bechtel before Sept. 11.

Fremont Group, a San Francisco-based private investment firm, once was a unit of Bechtel, and its board still includes Bechtel CEO Riley P. Bechtel and former U.S. Secretary of State and former Bechtel President George P. Shultz, along with several current Bechtel directors.

“The Guardian has obtained confirmation from newly discovered files in the US National Archives…”

Really? They just obtained confirmation? The fact that he was found guilty during the war wasn’t enough evidence for them.

“guess who else profited from the nazis: good ole Joseph Kennedy…”

    And your evidence is…

“…whose son teddy and grandson patrick are still in congress doing all sorts of crazy things.”

Neither Teddy nor Patrick are President of the U.S.A.
