Again, let’s be fair. Obama is also older than a lot of things mentioned in that song.

No, not a lot of the really old things. But a considerable number of the things mentioned are younger than Obama or Clinton.

It’s really a small thing, this song, and not going to make that much of a blip in this election. But it is just another example of Democrats and/or those opposed to Republicans and the right just not really making as pointed an argument as they could, either thru fear of upsetting someone or just not being sharp enough.

If you’re going to do a list like this, include only those things which people really perceive as old or having been around forever, and McCain is the only one older than them. Breast implants and string bikinis? Bah. McCain is the only candidate older than
- the March of Dimes
- Superman (hi, Oliver!)
- Gone with the Wind
- Hewlett Packard
- helicopters
- shopping carts
- The Jefferson Memorial
- cat litter
- ski tows
- Bugs Bunny
When McCain was born
- the Hindenburg was still flying
- Aemilia Earhart was alive
- nobody knew there was oil in Saudi Arabia
- there were no regular television broadcasts in the US
- California didn’t have any freeways

Ageism: Prejudice and discrimination based on a person’s age.

I guess you’re selective about your discrimination.
