Now that was funny… I’m with you Oliver on Matthews, but that was good.
It would’ve been funny if he’d said “By 1938, he’d been dead a year, but before this was with Churchill as a strong advocate of British rearmament…. oh, sorry, I thought you meant Austin Chamberlain, the older half brother of Neville, also in government, Silly me!” (coming from Birmingham, UK, we study the Chamberlain family a bit at school, we have a Chamberlain Square in Town)

How embarrassing for Kevin James to have to shout to cover up his complete lack of knowledge about the difference between talking and appeasement. It would be funny, but instead it is sad that he can claim the airwaves to pretend he knows something when he doesn’t have a clue as to what he is talking about. He probably should just stick to repeating the talking points to keep from showing his ignorance.
That was hysterical, and sad, at the same time.
The truly sad part about this guy is that Kevin James probably has an audience who think he’s a smart, well-intentioned guy rather than a complete moron.
With these rare little glimpses, you get an idea of what the world might be like if we had a competent press corps.
But, alas, here Matthews is just making a bush-league (no pun) yakker his punk. He’d never pull that on even a mid-level member of the administration.

You can’t learn history in a few hours before you go on a television show. But you can yell and recite stupid talking points and make a complete ass of yourself. He did a fine job of that. The ignorance of this guy is stunning.
He has a radio show in Los Angeles. His show is promoted as “intelligent conservative talk”. I guess that fits the definition of an oxymoron.
He is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a law degree from the University of Houston. OU might want to launch an investigation into how someone so clueless got a degree from their fine institution. Matthews went to Holy Cross, so maybe there is something to be said for private Catholic schools.

That is exactly the kind BS you would write in a history test when you hadn’t read the book or listened in class. Then, the professor would give you a gentlemen’s C if you were lucky. If he was a hard ass, you’re looking at a D at best.
While this was hilarious, it also highlights a problem that liberals and Democrats have in the current “Jerry Springer” media atmosphere created by people like Chris Matthews. Notice that the only thing Mr. Green gets to add to the whole segment is the withering crack about “stop digging.” The only 9/11 comments that were aired were the republican talking points about the Clinton administrations assumed culpability and “watch Pathway to 9/11″. He even cut off Chris Matthews as he reminded James that Bush was unconcerned and negligent about terrorism in the eight months prior to that day. Because he spent the whole time shouting and repeating “appeasement” over and over, Mr. Green said absolutely nothing of substance. Keving James proves himself to be a fool, but Mr. Green winds up as a milquetoast. That’s a shame.
