   Well, see, there’s economists, and then there’s economists and then there’s politicians.

   Hard to tell them apart sometimes, as with a certain Gregory N. Mankiw or others who will never miss a chance to trash Dem candidates.

   Of course, if you;re an Obama supporter, you think Hilary lost the Gas Tax Holiday issue, too.

   Google isn’t helping; can someone direct me to the full text of the bill that Sen. Clinton filed to suspend the gasoline tax?

   Wellstone: Of course, if you;re an Obama supporter, you think Hilary lost the Gas Tax Holiday issue, too.

   Which definition of “lost” are you using? If it’s something to do with scoring political points with the electorate then, no, she didn’t lose. If it’s something to do with actually getting something done and making a Gas Tax Holiday actually occur, or something to do with actually improving things for the average gas user on anything longer term than a quick-fix basis then, yeah, she lost big time.

   I don’t even know what that means.

   I suspect it’s more of the “Despite all appearances and data to the contrary, Hillary is winning and always has been. And despite our repeatedly saying that reality minded folks refuse to believe it.” attitude Wellstone and others have demonstrated so well.
