“Democrats Are Terrorists” Part 3,032,283

This time the conservative peddling the attack is nepotism-beneficiary Michael Reagan who writes in the conservative backwaters of Townhall.com that “The goals of the Democrats and both al Qaeda and al Sadr insurgents are the same: the defeat of the United States in the war in Iraq.” Dude, this is so 2002! I know there’s a conservative legacy of always conflating America’s enemies with the left, but they always forget that it was the hardcore conservatives who pushed FDR to be soft on Hitler (with groups like Lindbegh’s America First committee) and it is conservatives who illegally financed guerillas in South America and armed Saddam Hussein.

I love to remind my FIL that liberals won two World Wars while the cons beat those powerhouses Grenada and Panama. He don’t like that.

It would be funny if it weren’t so true that the Bush Administration has done more damage by far to America than all terrorist organizations together ever have.

And yet, they remain oblivious to that.

the defeat of the United States in the war in Iraq.

To be fair, since we still haven’t been told what constitutes victory, it’s entirely possible that “defeat” of the United States means that everybody in Iraq gets free ice cream sundaes for a month.

Democrat or no, I can get behind that.

I thought we already “won” in Iraq. I guess you can’t say its over until the oil is in the tanker.
