I’m glad we have experts like Bill Kristol to tell us this stuff or else we would never know.
I’m curious: If Captain Milquetoast, lower-middle class get-along colorblind guys like me (remember, my life experience is largely the mean streets of suburban Florida and Maryland) react so poorly to this conservative swill, how do they think minorities who have experienced a hint of true racism feel?

Kristol Wrote:
And I didn’t shudder when Obama said he could no more disown Reverend Wright than he could disown the black community.
OF COURSE HE DID.
I keep on telling folks, THAT was the most important line of the entire speech, because it told folks who Obama was.
It told them that he WASN’T Tiger Woods.
He WASN’T Uncle Clarence.
He WASN’T Shelby Steele.
I don’t even believe Kristol understands the complete DEPTH of that line.
BUT, he knows it was an important line.
Show me another sentence that was more important to Black folk.
Kristol wouldn’t get the depth and context of that line, and how it showed Obama’s SOUL. The line told folks that Obama was a Free Negro, and all that entails. Kristol can’t quite put his finger on it, but he knows the importance of that line.
Too bad I sold my old sports car. We could have given Kristol’s skin a little more melanin, put him behind the wheel, make him drive around my neighborhood and then ask him what it was like to have five-o tail him for a mile or longer.
Conservatives think only African Americans and Latinos can be racist
“Conservatives think only African Americans and Latinos can be racist”
I think deep down they know that they are racist, but if they can call the targets of their hate racist, it lessens their guilt.
Seems like everybody has everybody else figured out. For example non-conservatives can read conservative minds and tell what they are thinking. Holy Cow! Batman.
Meanwhile people in general are just getting meaner. Haven’t you noticed?
I think it stems from having too much information and not knowing what to do with it.
your headline says it all. brilliant.
