Geraldine Ferraro: Obama Is Lucky That He’s Black, That’s Why He Succeeded

It is interesting when people develop diarrhea of the mouth. By the way, why do you suppose Geraldine Ferraro was picked as Walter Mondale’s running mate?

Ferraro is a Clinton supporter and has raised money for the Clinton campaign via e-mail solicitations.

MORE: “If Obama was a white man and won 11 straight primaries he would be the nominee.”

I was just thinking it’s my bad luck to be a white man. Barack Obama being a black guy and all, he shot right to the top. What a racket! I think it also helps that he’s skinny and has big ears. Me, I can’t get any sympathy because no one buys it that a white, Anglo-Saxon, Protestant, professional male from the South can be any kind of victim. At least women can call people out on sexism. I don’t have the race card, the gender card, the victim card, nothing. You know what, life just isn’t fair! That’s why I don’t get Ms. Ferraro whining about black men. I guess it’s the disrespect for your elders card that chaps her shriveled butt. When a young black dude refuses to give you his seat at the table, what can you do? Everybody’s going to back him up because either they’re black or they feel guilty and it helps their bad conscience to see him stick it to the biddy. But I have a question I’m still confused about. When you say that black guys have it made when it comes to fighting with old white women, is that racist?

    or sexist?

Ferraro’s statement was incomprehensible, inappropriate, and indefensible.

It’s just like the Jesse Jackson reference Bill made after South Carolina. It’s something that probably is true, if you’re being honest with yourself; but you just don’t say it, especially with reporters in the room.

Like my comparison of Obama to John Edwards in 2004. I think the comparison is very apt, but it’s not something I would say if I were a campaign staffer.

Here is Ferraro’s e-mail. Shouldn’t we be sending her some love??

And always remember that Obama defeated a black man to become Senator. Meanwhile, how many black Republicans have won significant elections lately? Let’s see…

What a stupid remark by Ferraro. I don’t see how she didn’t see this one coming.

Liberal Rob. Wake up please. What Ferraro said is TRUE and it’s a shame that you can’t speak the truth in this country without being considered racist. Obama-mania is a classic example of political affirmative action. The left in this country is so obsessed with electing a black man to show progress they are blinded from all reason. If a white politician attended a Southern church for 20 years linked to white supremacy or KKK ideology do you think he would be in the same position as Obama. I doubt it. The liberals would have taken him down like a pack of wolves the minute he entered the race. Let’s admit folks. Obama is the recipient of Political Charity.
