Virginia GOP Asks Tim Kaine To Waste Taxpayer Money

That’s what they’re doing by trying to push Kaine to fund the useless abstinence-only brand of sex education that time after time after time is proven not to work.

image Virginia’s top Republicans on Tuesday called on Gov. Timothy M. Kaine (D) to restore state funds for programs that focus exclusively on teaching teenagers to abstain from sex until marriage, intensifying the partisan battle over sex education.

In response to the GOP news conference, Kaine said he would stand by his decision last month to eliminate $275,000 in state matching funds for federally funded programs that teach abstinence-only sex education. Most of those programs are community-based and not at public schools.

"The research shows programs that are abstinence-only are not successful," Kaine said. "The budget will not have funding for abstinence-only programs. If the people look at the research, the answer is pretty clear."

Like his neighboring Democratic governor, that crazy Tim Kaine is… governing.

But, Oliver, when you realize the true agenda of abstinence-only education (along with anti-abortion, anti-birth control, and anti-cervical vaccine) which is to punish women for recreational non-reproductive sex, then you’d know that the policy actually IS working.

Thanks to their efforts, young women will remain ignorant about safe sex practices, have unwanted pregnancies and births, get cervical cancer and then die because they engaged in sex for fun. It’s what God would want.
