NFL Thoughts

  • Four weeks into the season and I have watched a grand total of TWO Redskins games on a Sunday. First they had Monday Night Football, which I just don’t care for, and then we had an early bye. Who made this schedule? The only upside now is that we’ll have 13 straight weekends of games, more or less - which, depending on how the ‘Skins work out, could be sweet or torture.
  • This Week’s Reason Why I Don’t Think The Patriots Are Real: Via this article, it seems the Patriots have beaten teams with a combined record of 4-12. Maybe they’re the second coming, but let’s not coronate them yet. On 10/28, the Redskins play the Pats - that game will likely shut me up or give me fuel to keep this flame burning.
  • Chargers Fans: The pathetic Norv Turner is offering you the same lame, horrible excuses for his poor skill at coaching that he offered to fans in Washington and Oakland. Fire this man now, while your franchise can still get out alive! Having Norv Turner as your head coach will only bring your beloved team pain.

Norv Turner must either be a really nice guy or have compromising pictures of every sportswriter in the country.

    First off, Go Raiders!

Second, it’s going to be fun watching the Chargers this year. I’ve noticed how all of a sudden the s**t talking I got from Chargers fans for the past four years has ceased. Now the tables have turned and I can taunt them with a hearty “Mar-ty! Mar-ty! Mar-ty!” chant when we play them in a couple of weeks.

i’ve never heard a fan say they don’t care for their team playing on monday night. do the games extend past your bed time or something?

OW, I don’t mean to break your heart, but it’s the Cowboys-Pats that everybody is getting worked up for.
