Tireless Purveyors Of Conventional Wisdom

Mike Allen and John Harris of the Politico have decided to pen a hit piece on Sen. Clinton (From The Politico? I know, shocking.) because I guess they need something to prop up circulation this week. In this instance it’s them simply regurgitating recent, idiotic news stories unfavorable to Sen. Clinton, most conspicously on the ho-hum media focus on her laugh. Doesn’t anyone get tired by this? They did it to Al Gore, Bill Clinton, John Kerry, and John Edwards - not to mention almost eight years of it focused on Hillary Clinton. Of course, the big difference now is that the silent majority isn’t quiet like it was in the ’90s and early ’00s. Be it blogs, talk radio, and even a tv host or two, the dominant pro-Republican narratives simply cannot fool everyone like they used to.

Allen and Harris are playing an old game on the American people. But we’ve moved on.

I am still waiting for the article from some major news source that compares/contrasts all the candidates’ position on the major issues that face America. It is almost like we’ve given up on that.

Instead we have these sideline cheerleaders and theater critics.

    Someday reality will intervene.
