Thud

That was the sound of the Redskins giving away the game to the sorry Giants. What the heck was that third quarter?!! Ick. Anyway, suck it up and move on.

Digg This!

They got shut down by the weakest defense in the NFL. Redskins suck.

I am a Giant fan but I won’t rub it in since I like your site.

For that one quarter, yes they did suck. Look, I’m always going to knock the Skins when they deserve it.

Naturally I’m having alot better day than I did last Sunday.
Did you see McNabb completely smoke the Lions?
Holy crap was he red hot. The only pass he was off on was the one he deliberately threw away.

As for the skins, Portis really f’ed up bigtime with his fumble, then his dropped pass at the end of the game.
Campbell throws a really sweet ball and looks like he’s going to be a very good passer, but he’s very easy to knock off his feet and goes down real easy.
Lastly, Joe Gibb’s play calling on the last two plays was idiotic. He basically tried to score two times on the exact same play he scored on in the first half. That doesn’t work anymore in the NFL. It did back in his heyday with Riggins, but today’s players are just to athletically gifted and smart. If they know what play you are going to run, they are going to stuff it.

McNabb was red hot. Against the Lions.

I don’t know why the ‘Skins didn’t just pound the ball in on that last series. Campbell’s good in the pocket, I think his biggest deficiency right now is that he doesn’t give up on the pass and just scramble enough (there were at least 2 times he should have done that) and he needs to know when to spike the ball and spike it quick, he really screwed the pooch on that one. The offense gave up the ghost, but the defense tied the game up in a freaking bow. It’s like they had been posessed after half time by the spirit of nonchalance.

That game was hard to watch. I was hoping to dance on Coughlin’s grave soon.

Campbell’s errors are those of a young QB. He holds the ball too long; run or throw it away. This comes with experience and good coaching.

I don’t think it was just the third quarter. Except for one long touchdown drive, the Redskins offense didn’t do anything. Their other 10 pointe were handed to them by Eli Manning.

The ‘Skins GIVING a down away on 1st & goal made me want to jump out a window. There was plenty of time left (over a minute, if I recall), and absolutely no need to panic and strat “clocking” it. Hell, if they had an once of creativity in that stupid 1000 lb playbook, they could have done a fake spike and thrown into the end zone (or just have Campbell throw it away if the Giants caught on, which would have been the same result).

It just amazes me that Gibbs, with all his experience, would essentially piss his pants when in a pressure spot like that. Is he just that conservative or what? And then those subsequent calls also showed no balls. Have Campbell do a bootleg, or something that acknowledges the fact that your OL has been hit hard with injuries.

    It’s gonna be a looooong-ass bye week.
