Just would like to note that as John McCain continues to debate whether he’s Baptist or Episcopalian that as a non-churchgoing agnostic, I still am aware that I was christened in the Anglican church. Then again, I’m not running around pandering for votes because then I would be able to point to the two yarmulkes I own (middle school friend’s bar mitzvah) and say I’m from the Sammy Davis wing of Judaism.
Pandering….so freaking what? Like Democrats haven’t pandered to everything BUT religious folks for decades now….and actually, they DO pander to some religious people, just not christians. Blacks have been bought off for decades now if you think about it too. Kept them aaaaall on the plantation and dependent on their “massas” to support them.
