The Post’s Marc Fisher hung out with some of the few idiot right-wingers at the “Gathering Of Eagles” counter-protest foolishness on the Mall this Saturday:
Choate said he and his friend felt compelled to come to Washington because most Americans refused to believe that “the terrorists have got people planted all over the country from Al Queda who are preparing to go on one day into many elementary schools in our country and kill our children. We have this on good authority, we have sources.”
Choate said he was disappointed to see how few people turned out to the Gathering of Eagles. “Most of the country doesn’t want to believe it, ” he said. “Everybody’s getting a false feeling of security. Every morning, I wake up and just hope another 9-11 hasn’t happened overnight.”
Choate said he and his friends, who he called true patriots, are doing their duty to spread the word that “most Muslims are out to kill us or convert us to Islam.”
They hate Muslims, they’re scared little babies who fear terrorism, but the good thing is: there aren’t that many of them. I’m no fan of protests or the people who habitually attend them (they don’t achieve a thing) but the counter-protesters come off even worse.

Actually, i would believe this one. However, the people he’s talking about aren’t extremist Muslims, but rather people like Choate himself. He’s not reporting on a threat, he’s making one.
um, if hundreds of terrorists are in this country already just waiting for the go order … how exactly is the war in iraq supposed to keep us safer? These people truly are morons …

I love how the MSM gives these morons equal time just to ensure the Con men in the media won’t call them liberal. There were an estimated 100K marching against the war in DC today, while a thousand lonely delusional boneheads took the streets to show their continued reverance that anything that comes out of the mouth of Bush.
Using my hard earned state of Floriduh edumication, I can think that that ratio is roughly, nearly, for-sake-of-argument at 99 to 1%.

It is highly unlikely there were 100,000 protesters in DC. The media covers “both sides” like the numbers are equal and that’s B.S. but there were just not that many people protesting.
