The problem is, they exchanged curvy women with a little more meat on their bones (like the aforementioned Kathy Ireland, as well as McPherson and Ashley Richardson) for the typical skin and bones type with boob jobs.

I agree with you Oliver. I also agree with the Kathy Ireland comment. She was smokin’ back in the day.
But I think you hit the nail on the head. Models are really just too skinny. I remember in my younger days hearing that about ladies like Crawford and McPherson… nowadays, those girls would be considered full size or large compared to the skinny fools that model these days.
It’s like Stewie Griffin said: “I’m just saying 70’s boobs were different that’s all…”
Hey, it’s not just Ireland’s great looks. She’s smart–she’s enormously successful in business–and she’s concerned for others.

For my money, Cindy Crawford was, and continues to be, the gold standard. She looks even better today than she did 10 years ago.
I agree with all y’all. The ’80’s models were better, more substantive, although I also agree with Oliver as per Bundchen.
