Dear GOP,

You’ve essentially appointed Tom DeLay as the point man to go in the media today to push the idea that Democrats are more corrupt than Republicans.

The most corrupt majority leader of the US House who resigned in shame and scandal is the Republican point man for defending Republican honor.

I honestly could not have come up with that myself!

Thanks and Love,

Oliver

UPDATE: The Newshounds are similarly stupefied. Tom freaking DeLay. Up next: OJ lectures on domestic violence, while Pete Rose discusses the evils of gambling.

I’m sure he repented in the most Evangelical of ways, which in the numbed minds of Christians cleans his slate and renews his innocence.

Perhaps Fox Noise is trying to sink the Republican party.

They would get higher ratings with an all Democratic Congress and White House. I mean what the heck, the GOP is circling the bowl now and with the Dems in charge there will be a solid 30% nut ball Republicans to drink the Kool Aid Fox dishes up every day.

I know 9/11 changed everything and all, but does it have to mean a suspension of reality, credibility, logic and reason? I mean, come on.

I also saw Gary “I screwed my secretary” Bauer pontificating about maorals.

Pete Rose has gone on record numerous times re: the evils of gambling….with his characteristic forthrightness (heh). Usually one sees more of him as Hall of Fame time comes around. Rose I tend to see in a different light than politicians and religious figures, though, since gambling or no, he was a hard-working baseball plaayer.

The others? gah….I derive more than a little enjoyment in their squirming, as those they respect question or belittle their moral standing.

    More, please!
