“19 Kids … Lured Onto Airplanes”

That is the totally bizarre way President Bush described the 9/11 hijackers yesterday.

It matters to the security of people here at home if we don’t work to change the conditions that cause 19 kids to be lured onto airplanes to come and murder our citizens.

Kids?

    Lured?

If a Dem said this, the wingnuts would say “they want psychotherapy for the terrorists!”

But, as we’ve seen recently, “Young Republicans” includes anybody under 40, so “kids” includes anybody who is under 30.

Lured? These guys did what they did willingly. This shit diminishes what they did — they hated America (or American foreign policy, if you prefer) so damn much that they hijacked planes and piloted them to their certain deaths. Hate it or admire it (if you’re a complete asshole), that’s an extreme act.

We’ve officially hit a new low on Republican Personal Responsibility. The 9/11 hijackers are “kids” who were “lured” onto the planes.

You didn’t get “lured”. [suicidal jihadists]never get lured. They’re too strong and powerful for that. Now say it–”I didn’t get lured and I will take responsibility for my actions”.

The War Czar Lives! And finding him alive, they trot him out to say this stuff? Kiss the rich white youth vote good-bye. Who will be the next generation of Republicans? Everyone else of an impressionable age hates heir guts. Guess the GOP hasn’t made good impressions lately.

Bush war adviser says draft worth a look By RICHARD LARDNER
Fri Aug 10, 7:06 PM ET

WASHINGTON - Frequent tours for U.S. forces in Iraq and Afghanistan have stressed the all-volunteer force and made it worth considering a return to a military draft, President Bush’s new war adviser said Friday.

“I think it makes sense to certainly consider it,” Army Lt. Gen. Douglas Lute said…

Give Bush credit. He’s right, not that he meant to be right or that he has done anything to change those conditions, just the opposite, but that statement is right.

    Thanks mambo.

The story gave me the mental image of one of the hijackers, in the afterlife, doing a Millie and claiming, “I got lured!”
