Just to be clear, the objective of the right-wing “outrage” was not to make an actual point. It was to bully a critic of the war into silence. In that, they succeeded. That’s precisely how these Malkinites step closer to fascism every day.

Dan Rather and Mary Mapes? ANOTHER prime example of lynching by the Right Wing.

Rather and Mapes got the story right. But the MSM decided to go along with the Right-Wing idiots and hung them out to dry.

There’s no question the documents which were called out as “forgeries” had the right info on them. No one’s ever disputed that.

There’s no question Bush never completed his service in the TANG, no question he left the TANG without permission, no question he sent Dan Bartlett and Karen Hughes to Texas when he ran for Governor to scour his records and clean up the mess.

But because some news directors, PR Departments, and right-wing moles were able to build and maintain a bogus narrative, (See the heading of this thread) they got Rather canned.

Congratulations.

But now, the problem for you guys is CREDIBILITY.

You lose more of what little you had every day. No one listens to O’Reilly, Boortz, Hannity, or even Rush for the truth anymore, they know they’re all in the tank.

And that, boys and girls, is how the Right Wing pissed away any chance at being the future.

The only person hurt in this affair has been Scott Thomas, on whom the right wing has seen fit to vent their fury and their intimidation tactics. Are you really so surprised Malkin sent her brownshirts on a mission to personally harass him into silence? It’s hardly the first time, Farris.

You mean Scott Beauchamp, right? The guy even TNR admits made up no less than 33% of his material. While 66% would be a hell of a batting average, it’s not quite as impressive for a media outlet.

The story about how serving him in Iraq dehumanized him to the point that he made fun of a disfigured woman. Happened BEFORE he served in Iraq, rendering the entire reason for that story irrelevant. Don’t agree? How would you feel were GWB to write in his autobiography that he was insipred to run for President after the horrific events of 9/11?

Yeah … I thought so.

First you said it was made up. Then you said it was irrelevant. Which goalpost are you arguing for, Farris? And you’re right — I have infinitely more sympathy for an anonymous Army private who gets targeted for Michelle Malkin’s harassment tactics than I do for Bill O’Reilly.
