They may no longer be in office, but the “K-street lobbyist” model (meaning mutually lucrative, incestuous corporatist relationships), the “constructionist judge” (meaning stuff the legislative branch with wingnuts), and the unholy coalition they forged between wingnuts, racists, and the evangelical Right, as I said their legacy lives on.

The only reason these men are out of office is indictment in the case of DeLay, public ethics censure and scumbaggery by Gingrich, and raging wingnuttery beyond the pale in the case of Santorum.

Not because they lost the respect and adoration of the remaining GOP scumbags in Congress.

Under the leadership of Gingrich, Santorum, DeLay, and others, men who valued party ideology above all and had no problem with achieving domination by all means neceaasry, I believe the GOP today is a party where principles have nothing to do with its policies and its politics.

That is their legacy, that is their history, that is the reason why Dems beat them so badly in ‘06.

It actually says something about your thought processes and range of human experience if you think there are no principled Rs - in Congress or otherwise. I would say one day you will grow up, but you may be old as me. Oh well.
