It just keeps getting better and better, doesn’t it?

    I don’t want to open the link…

“Tail Gunner” Joe must be smiling.

  3. Gravatar Icon 3 Harry the Talking Points Droid

    It’s Clinton’s fault.

  4. Gravatar Icon 4 Duros62

frank, wasn’t it you a few weeks ago saying something about being judged by the company you keep? So now we have Rudy Ghouliani hangin gout with mobsters, cokeheads and child molesters. Oh, sorry, “alleged.”
    Love that family values platform.

  5. Gravatar Icon 5 Frank

about being judged by the company you keep
    Whoa, Nelly!
I think I referred to NOT being judged by the company you kept.

The reason I didn’t open the link is that I am absolutely certain — ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN — that there will be, in the story, no direct connection between the priest and Giuliani, or no real evidence of a cover up.

I will not be fooled by Oliver again.

    Okay, then, my mistake.

  7. Gravatar Icon 7 Oliver

I love how you can write so much without reading the link.

I am absolutely certain — ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN — that there will be, in the story, no direct connection between the priest and Giuliani,

Whoops, guess you’d be wrong then.

The priest, Alan Placa, is one of Giuliani’s oldest friends; in turn, Giuliani has become Placa’s highest-profile defender.

  9. Gravatar Icon 9 Duros62

Swing and a miss, high and outside.

  10. Gravatar Icon 10 SpiderJ

Duros - Did this come from a media source that Frank has not personally vetted himself?

If so, it isn’t real. Surely you know that by now.

  11. Gravatar Icon 11 Duros62

    ooooooh yeah, forgot about that.

“I am absolutely certain — ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN — that there will be, in the story, no direct connection between the priest and Giuliani”

Astonishing nobody, the priest turns out to have been directly connected to Giuliani. He:

    1) was the best man for Giuliani’s first marriage (admittedly, Rudy got married a lot);

    2) baptized Giuliani’s children (only like two of them, though);

    3) helped Rudy annul his first marriage (okay, but again, there were a lot of annulments, too);

    4) buried Rudy’s mother (Giuliani only has one of these, as far as I know);

    5) has been a direct employee of Rudy’s since 2003.

Frank, you just get funnier all the time, buddy!

  13. Gravatar Icon 13 Duros62

I forget now, does Newsday have a liberal bias?

  14. Gravatar Icon 14 Duros62

    1) was the best man for Giuliani’s first marriage
Dontcha think he of all people would have known they were cousins?

    Just askin.

  15. Gravatar Icon 15 Duros62

Seriously, though, what is it going to take to sink this guy?
Just in the past week, he’s linked to crackheads and pedophiles. And what do we hear? 9-11 9-11 9-11 9-11

  16. Gravatar Icon 16 Frank

OR no REAL evidence of a cover up.

For the NON-readers in the group.

Because, what’s more importnat here? Making a true statement about Rudy Giuliani, or proving Frank wrong?

    Silly question…

  17. Gravatar Icon 17 Randy Brown

Once again, Frank N. Furter’s face is tighter than an over-tuned violin string…

  18. Gravatar Icon 18 C.S.Strowbridge

“For the NON-readers in the group.”

Speaking of non-readers, the priest was accused of covering up other child molestations, not Rudy Giuliani.

  19. Gravatar Icon 19 condipundit

    “It’s McCarthyism!”

    “There’s no relation!”

“Well, it appears they’re actually pretty close, but that doesn’t mean Rudy can in any way be judged for his backing an incredibly questionable and creepy pal–who makes Bernie Kerik look like a priest–ooops!”

Fear not, Frankie. You can always go downtown and distract yourself from this unpleasant story by looking in store windows at the many pairs of shiny, black leather boots. :)

  20. Gravatar Icon 20 Frank

the priest was accused of covering up other child molestations, not Rudy Giuliani.
Hey, Clem, Here in America being accused of something is not a crime. Neither is being a friend of someone who is accused of something.

condipundit: Judging by the gelatinous nature of your posts, I’d rather hang around with two of him, than one of you.

  21. Gravatar Icon 21 C.S.Strowbridge

“Hey, Clem, Here in America being accused of something is not a crime. Neither is being a friend of someone who is accused of something.”

One friend is charged with mob connections, another with cocaine, and another is implicated in a pedo-priest scandal.

Sure, they may all be innocent, but it sure speaks poorly of Rudy’s choice of friends, especially when he vouches for their character.

  22. Gravatar Icon 22 Zython

Sure, they may all be innocent, but it sure speaks poorly of Rudy’s choice of friends, especially when he vouches for their character.

On that note, would you want a person who has a poor judge of character to appoint people to high ranking government positions? Since Rudy is running for president, keeping company with these kinds of low-lives calls his ability to appoint qualified people into question.

  23. Gravatar Icon 23 Frank

I couldn’t care less. Pres. Clinton had people around him with with indictments, criminal records, people called to testify left the country rather than take an oath.

The Clinton’s had tons of criminal detritus around them, and all the while the Democrats hollered that it didn’t matter.

Any Republican who appoints anyone to a “high ranking government position” is going to see that person awash in accusations in any event.

  24. Gravatar Icon 24 Zython

    I couldn’t care less.

You don’t care if the Secretary of State is a sex offender? Or if the head of the World Bank is a mobster? O…k then.

Clinton had people around him with with indictments, criminal records, people called to testify left the country rather than take an oath.

Can anyone tell me what the hell he’s talking about?

The Clinton’s had tons of criminal detritus around them, and all the while the Democrats hollered that it didn’t matter.

    Translation:Two wrongs make a right.

Any Republican who appoints anyone to a “high ranking government position” is going to see that person awash in accusations in any event.

Translation: Teh L13uR4L M3d14 is trying to defame poor wittle ‘pubs who only want to sell cocaine, work with the mafia, and molest children like good, hard working Americans should.

  25. Gravatar Icon 25 Frank

Did you care when the President (Clinton) was eyeballing the rear ends of the wives and secretaries of international dignitaries?

Clinton had people around him with with indictments, criminal records, people called to testify left the country rather than take an oath.

Can anyone tell me what the hell he’s talking about?

They sure could, if they had the nerve. But I’m not, because you can do your own research. You’re becoming quite a pest, and I am getting quite tired of your following me around with these nonsensical “challenges” to each and every one of my posts.

  26. Gravatar Icon 26 Frank

p.s. I might take you more seriously of you talked less about anime, and stopped typing in L33t, like a middle schooler.

  27. Gravatar Icon 27 Nimrod Gently

See? See? I knew it! It always comes round to BUT CLINTON eventually, no matter how ludicrous it is or how far they have to reach!

  28. Gravatar Icon 28 Nimrod Gently

Er, Frank, the l33t-speak was sarcastic there.

  29. Gravatar Icon 29 C.S.Strowbridge

“They sure could, if they had the nerve. But I’m not, because you can do your own research.”

Translation: Uhhhh…. I’m wasn’t expecting anyone to call my bluff.

  30. Gravatar Icon 30 Frank

Zython, Nimrod, and Clem: You have become little more than pests.

Almost all of your contrubutions consist of annoying me.

I will simply do my best in the future to ignore you. Keep trying, and you will no doubt find someone to pester soon enough.

    Good luck.

  31. Gravatar Icon 31 condipundit

“I’d rather hang around with two of him, than one of you.”

Hey, one woulda thought you were into Condi and the leather stuff, but, hey! Whatever gets your motor runnin’ Frankie. Don’t ask, don’t tell! :)

  32. Gravatar Icon 32 Zython

Did you care when the President (Clinton) was eyeballing the rear ends of the wives and secretaries of international dignitaries?

That depends, did you care when Bush gave an improptu massage to the German Chancelor during last year’s G8 summit?

Also, I didn’t really get into politics until around the turn of the century, so I guess the answer would be “no”.

  33. Gravatar Icon 33 Nimrod Gently

Frank, our worlds don’t actually revolve around you.

  34. Gravatar Icon 34 Randy Brown

    Shorter Frank:

    “Screw you guys…I’m going home!

  35. Gravatar Icon 35 Frank

Zython, Nimrod, Clem and Randy Brown: You have become little more than pests.

Almost all of your contributions consist of annoying me.

    Good luck.

“I will simply do my best in the future to ignore you. Keep trying, and you will no doubt find someone to pester soon enough.”

You know, Frank, the last time you, ‘left’, this site became a better place to discuss issues. We could debate, disagree, even get passionate about whatever side we were on without worrying that you would show up and try to intentionally fuck things up to feed your need for hate.

If you left for good, the posting might go down, but the quality would rise to compensate. And no, we wouldn’t pick another, ‘victim.’

  38. Gravatar Icon 38 Randy Brown

Well, Frank Furter, as my sister would say: Let the door hit you where the Lord split you.

–RB (pest to wingnuts and DAMN proud of it)

  39. Gravatar Icon 39 Randy Brown

“Almost all of your contributions consist of annoying me.”

You’re so vain…you prob’ly think this blog is about you. You’re so vain…

  40. Gravatar Icon 40 C.S.Strowbridge

“You’re so vain…you prob’ly think this blog is about you. You’re so vain…”

It has been said in the past that Frank probably thinks this is his blog.

  41. Gravatar Icon 41 Frank

If you left for good, the posting might go down, but the quality would rise to compensate.

I’ve thought about it, and I’ve decided that if YOU left, this blog would be greatly improved. While you’re at it, take Zython,Nimrod, Squirrel and Randy with you.

It would cut the postings by half, but the serenity would be palpable.

  42. Gravatar Icon 42 condipundit

Better he stay here, lest the intertubes find themselves clogged with cheesy ‘08 shill blogs like…

    GoodlingGirlPrez’08.com

    DoanStopLurita!.net

    or HarrietUp.com

Not like it hasn’t happened before. :)

  43. Gravatar Icon 43 Zython

Wow, a comic about Frank! Is it like looking through a living mirror?

  44. Gravatar Icon 44 mambochicken23

Frank lasted all of a day on his pledge before he felt the need to respond to Strowbridge. What a dick.

  45. Gravatar Icon 45 C.S.Strowbridge

Me: “If you left for good, the posting might go down, but the quality would rise to compensate.”

Frank: “I’ve thought about it, and I’ve decided that if YOU left, this blog would be greatly improved. While you’re at it, take Zython,Nimrod, Squirrel and Randy with you.”

    Two points:

1.) From what I’ve read, you were a pain in the ass before I arrive, and evidence indicates you’ll be a pain in the ass if I leave.

2.) Even if you are right, then it would take five people on our side leaving to equal the effect of you leaving. That says a lot.

mambochicken23: “Frank lasted all of a day on his pledge before he felt the need to respond to Strowbridge. What a dick.”

You’re being generous. He posted a link to his pledge to ignore us at least twice before.

  46. Gravatar Icon 46 merlallen

Did you like it when chickengeorge bush was kissing his boyfriend Bandar?

  47. Gravatar Icon 47 Frank

If you’ll feel better, Clem, take mambochicken with you…

  48. Gravatar Icon 48 Frank

It’s kind of hard to ignore someone who is persistently pestering you.

I said I would try. You are merely demonstrating that you seem to exist only to annoy me.

If you agree with mambochicken, by all means, take him with you — please.

  49. Gravatar Icon 49 C.S.Strowbridge

    “take mambochicken with you…”

And another person gets added to the list.

Wow, so it would take six people to leave to make the site better. And even then, I’m sure you would start picking fights with whoever did show up.

(By the way, Oliver Willis also mocks you, when will you add him to the list?)

“It’s kind of hard to ignore someone who is persistently pestering you.”

Responding to your posts on a public message board is pestering you? Amazing logic.

    “I said I would try.”

No, you said you would try your best.

“You are merely demonstrating that you seem to exist only to annoy me.”

You keep saying that, but I’m not in every thread you infest. I post in threads where you haven’t. I don’t post in all threads where you do. My actions here do not revolve around yours.

To think otherwise is merely a sign of your growing mental illness.
