I attended the speeches for both Barack Obama and John Edwards, and it was an almost complete flip-flop of the impression I got at the DNC winter meeting. Obama brought his “A” game and had the audience eating out of his hand. He told his bio, attacked the right but still was able to send out his unity message.
Edwards on the other hand, did not bring the fire that I’ve seen him bring numerous times from 2003-present. It was kind of a rote recitation of policy fun that didn’t really enrapture the crowd. It’s a case of knowing that someone can do so much better and kind of being upset when they fail to hit the three.

…and Willis continues his policy of carefully ignoring Governor Bill Richardson, just like the mass media he criticized so harshly.
Then again, Richardson gave a thoughtful speech with real ideas, instead of poll-tested bromides that get audiences to “eat out of your hand”.
I wasn’t at the speech so unless you want me to make things up.. On the other hand I made clear in the past that Richardson’s energy speech kicked ass.
Obama will get better the more he campaigns. The battle testing is good for him.
Obama definitely rocked that one. When Barack shouted “This is not who we are!” I got chills…you can tell he really believes it. This is what we need!
Governor Bill Richardson has no hope of being president, at least in 2008, but I think he would make a kick ass V.P. and who knows what will happen in 2016.
