Lost: Through the Looking Glass

I’m only watching because there’s no other good show on to take up its slot. Still, eh.

** SPOILERS ***

- So Jack and Kate are in the future? But Jack was talking about his dad, and that was in the past. And wasn’t that baldheaded doctor around Locke when he was in the hospital? Or did I imagine that?
- Why hasn’t any character grabbed an Other and say “tell me what’s going on or I will kill you”?
- Happy when Sayid shot Tom (I’m happy when any Others suffer, they piss me off)
- Is there a law that every new attractive woman (Naomi) on the island has to die?
- Walt shows up and he’s older. Of course he hasn’t been on the show for like two years, and forget about his dad.
- Locke can’t walk but somehow he’s flying across the island like a banshee
- Ben: please somebody kill him
- Still don’t trust Juliet
- Glad to see Hurley being more than obligatory fat guy
- Charlie’s death was done well, although I wonder if Eyepatch Russian guy is really dead. Because he’s been shocked, harpooned and still lived…
- What the heck happened to the three toed statue and the smoke and the polar… sigh.
- Do you believe Ben’s whole spiel about the evil coming to the island? I think he’s just a bad guy, and I hate the whiny way he talks.

Sawyer shot Tom, not Sayid. and he said it was for ‘taking the kid off the raft’

Sayid broke the guy’s neck with his legs. That was awesome. So was Rose’s “If you say ‘Live Together, Die Alone’ one more time, I’m going to punch you in the face.”

Remember, when Jack found his father’s coffin, it was empty. With the way that island works, who the hell knows what happened. Or, the way Jack said the things he did, he could have been speaking rhetorically, assuming where ever his father was, he was probably drunk.

Can’t kill Ben. He’s one of the best villains in TV history. The guy is too evil to kill off. Ben’s gripe about evil was at first written off by me as him just telling another lie. But then we did learn from Penny that she did not send Naomi as Naomi had claimed.

Excellent finale. The show was worth sticking through just from the last few weeks.

Two biggest questions you missed dude:

    1. Who was the dead guy? From what could be made out, it was definitely a guy and his name started with J. Sawyer’s real name is James. Or it could have been John as in John Locke.

    2. Who is ‘he’? When Kate tells Jack she has to leave she says, “He’’s going to be waiting for me.” Jack obviously knows who ‘he’ is otherwise she wouldn’t have said it that way.

    3. How long after the rescue did those scenes take place?

Jack was talking rhetorically about his dad. No, this is a different doctor.

    - Why hasn’t any character grabbed an Other and say “tell me what’s going on or I will kill you”?

    They have, many, many times.

    - Happy when Sayid shot Tom (I’m happy when any Others suffer, they piss me off)

    Sawyer shot Tom.

    - Is there a law that every new attractive woman (Naomi) on the island has to die?

    She’s not dead.

    - Locke can’t walk but somehow he’s flying across the island like a banshee

He can walk because Walt (a representation of the island itself I think) told him he could, he had to believe.

    - Ben: please somebody kill him

    Never.

    - Still don’t trust Juliet

    Ditto.

    - Glad to see Hurley being more than obligatory fat guy

    Big Fat Ditto.

    - Charlie’s death was done well, although I wonder if Eyepatch Russian guy is really dead. Because he’s been shocked, harpooned and still lived…

His death was pointless though, there was no reason at all that he and Des couldnt swim out, if they swam down they can certainly swim back up again, easily.

    - What the heck happened to the three toed statue and the smoke and the polar… sigh.

    Four toed.

    - Do you believe Ben’s whole spiel about the evil coming to the island? I think he’s just a bad guy, and I hate the whiny way he talks.

But Charlie had been told that if he completed his task in the way Desmond had forseen, then Claire & Turniphead would get off the island. And it had already been established that if you screwed up the flashes (like when Dez saved Charlie from the arrow), then the flashes don’t come to pass (Naomi is the parachuter instead of Penny.)

What the heck happened to the three toed statue and the smoke and the polar… sigh.

Good question. Although, I’m pretty sure the others mentioned that the polar bears were on the island for experiments in one of the first couple episodes of this season.

I figure they’ll use the wonky-time aspect of this season to backtrack before Jack and Kate make it off the island.

I don’t want to live through three seasons of flash forwards.

Man, I’m reading through the comments on this thread (I don’t watch Lost. Can’t follow it at ALL.), and it reads like a David Lynch movie.
Sounds like it makes Twin Peaks look absolutely coherent.
