That’ll Hold A Million Albas Easy

The first DOS-based computer I owned (my first machine was a Commodore 64) had a whopping 40mb hard drive. Now there’s a one-terabyte hard drive you can buy. Yet, as folks pointed out, no freaking flying cars.

I’ll bet that 40mb hard drive cost at least $399, too.

I owned a C64 as well. Great system. It lasted more than a decade, (and I was using the monitor for a TV at university for nearly a decade longer).

My first DOS computer had a HD of 120 megs, but in high school my parents at one with 20.

Ah yes, the wonderful IBM XT with a whopping 64K of RAM. Just make sure you switch the “turbo” on otherwise it’s really slow.
