Creating Their Own Reality Again

It tells you a lot about how disorganized the left has been that we actually lost multiple elections to these guys.

Railing against YouTube, two Republican White House veterans have launched QubeTV as a conservative alternative.

“The 2008 campaign will be dominated by video and in particular by user-generated video,” says QubeTV founder Charlie Gerow, a former aide in the Ronald Reagan White House.

“There are a vast array of young conservative activists and operatives out there armed with cell phones or hand-helds that are going to capture the next ‘macaca’ moment or John Kerry bad joke and put them on Qube TV,” says Gerow, whose Pennsylvania strategic media firm, Quantum Communications, created the Web site.

That sounds a hell of a lot safer than enlisting in Iraq. I guess the battle against the Democrats is more important than the battle for the soul of the Western World that we’ve been promised.

I share your disgust in the past performance of the Dems notwithstanding the fact that the elections were stolen in the first place. It should never have been close enough to steal, and we’ve seen just how intent these guys are at gaming elections/judges.

There’s some good news though. The Thugs have mucked it up so bad they’re literally out of the race already IMHO.

Check out why I didn’t waste time on their phony debates:

This makes sense. After all, user-generated content has a well-known liberal bias.

  5. Gravatar Icon 5 Nimrod Gently

Oh, for FUCK’S sake. What the fuck DOESN’T have a fucking Liberal bias to these morons?

  6. Gravatar Icon 6 Rex Mundane

Good lord… a Conservative YouTube fits in right next to the Conservative Wikipedia, and the Republican MySpace. Sweet sassy molassy why are they so damned paranoid that they need to co-opt internet fads? Honestly you know its only days before we see Conservative-Kittenwar.com and Republican-BangBus.com.

  7. Gravatar Icon 7 Nimrod Gently

It’s not “bias” that they’re scared of, it’s the idea that anyone anywhere could possibly express opinions contrary to their own without censure. OMG SOMEONE DISAGREES WITH ME BIAS BIAS BIAS WAAAAAAAAA

  8. Gravatar Icon 8 Duros62

What the fuck DOESN’T have a fucking Liberal bias to these morons?

    Pie.

Anyone see where Pam Atlas got banned from YouTube?

  9. Gravatar Icon 9 Nimrod Gently

    I bet it does.

  10. Gravatar Icon 10 Duros62

    What does? Pie?

    Say it ain’t so!

  11. Gravatar Icon 11 Nimrod Gently

    Dumbshits…will find a way.

  12. Gravatar Icon 12 pedromd07

well, except cherry pie, which is RED the color of the communists!

    Clearly a liberal (socialist!) bias….

otherwise duros is right, pie is very middle-of-the-road…

  13. Gravatar Icon 13 Duros62

I thought red was the color of Republics?

I mean yes, with the exception of cherry pie and blueberry pie, pie in and of itself is like Switzerland.

  14. Gravatar Icon 14 Nimrod Gently

Nah, Red’s traditionally the colour of the left. I am a pure blooded red. Blue is the Conservatives’ colour. It’s just you guys who have it backwards.

  15. Gravatar Icon 15 pedromd07

fine, I will stipulate that neither cherry nor blueberry can be considered non-partisan….

And remember, every male swiss has a rifle in his closet…peace through superior firepower!

  16. Gravatar Icon 16 midderpidge

Is Mark Foley a quiet partner in this? I understand he might be looking for a new way to attract young conservatives to his internet.

  17. Gravatar Icon 17 C.S.Strowbridge

Pie sounds like Pi, which clearly proves the bible isn’t literal and therefor must be a tool of the godless liberals.

  18. Gravatar Icon 18 Wellstone

    Hmm.. Yes, C.S., 100% right.

Pi is indivisible, and therefore irrational, which has to mean Satan or a secularist something-or-other must somehow be involved.

And don’t get me started on the “Natural” logarithm, which is so UN-natural it might almost fall under don’t-ask-don’t-tell!!

  19. Gravatar Icon 19 Graham

young conservative activists and operatives out there armed with cell phones or hand-helds…

    ooooo…are they hip or what?

    Not.

    The bottom line is:
    all politicians are crooked
    .

  21. Gravatar Icon 21 C.S.Strowbridge

    “The bottom line is:
    all politicians are crooked.”

How does that story imply Obama is crooked, and what does it have to do with QubeTV?

  22. Gravatar Icon 22 fd10801

CSS: Gee, I don’t know. MySpace is one of the hottest tickets in 21st Century peer networks, and according to the story, that kid was gorillaed of his MySpace dedicated to Obama’s Presidential campaign by Obama’s people.

But other than that, there’s no connection at all.

And you still can’t see why you get on my nerves?

  23. Gravatar Icon 23 Nimrod Gently

That doesn’t really prove anything, quite. “What happened next remains in dispute, but we’re Pyjamas Media so we’re going to assume the very worst of Barack Obama and tacitly act it’s the absolute gospel truth that he ripped that kid’s lungs out of his chest and held them aloft while howling at a full moon”.

  24. Gravatar Icon 24 Mike

… every male swiss has a rifle in his closet…pedromd07

They are all part of the Swiss well-regulated militia. Perhaps you could join one. That would make it legal to possess a rifle.

    all politicians are crooked. fd10801

Nope, there are none as crooked as George W. Bush

  25. Gravatar Icon 25 fd10801

Right, Mike, it’s a matter of degree! For you, maybe.

And, NG, can’t you at least go over to the link and spell it like they spell it?

  26. Gravatar Icon 26 C.S.Strowbridge

“CSS: Gee, I don’t know. MySpace is one of the hottest tickets in 21st Century peer networks, and according to the story, that kid was gorillaed of his MySpace dedicated to Obama’s Presidential campaign by Obama’s people.”

Right. So someone makes a page using Obama’s name and eventually Obama takes it over. In the olden days that was called cybersquatting.

This is hardly a sign of corruption and has nothing to do with QubeTV other than they both have something to do with the Internet.

“But other than that, there’s no connection at all.”

There really is no connection at all. At least none that makes sense to anyone other than the voices in your head.

Please, try and explain it again.

“And you still can’t see why you get on my nerves?”

I get on your nerves cause you are dumb and I point that out.

  27. Gravatar Icon 27 fd10801

It’s not cybersuatting when the page is TAKEN from you. The article insinuates that they muscled the page away fro mthe kid.

As I said before, MySpace is one of the hottest social networks of the 21st Century.

But you’re right: I am dumb. I’m dumb to respond to to you, because you come off as dumb as a post, so you must be pretending, just to annoy me.

That’s because I don’t have voices in my head, and I have made myself clear to plenty of people of average intelligence and better than average intelligence on several continents.

That leads me to believe that the problem lies with you, and I don’t think enough of you to help you solve it.

You’re a snotty, arrogant, condescending jerk, like about a half a dozen other snotty, arrogant, condescending jerks that inhabit this blog.

  28. Gravatar Icon 28 C.S.Strowbridge

“It’s not cybersuatting when the page is TAKEN from you. The article insinuates that they muscled the page away fro mthe kid.”

You have to be kidding me.

Creating a website using someone else’s name is generally called cybersquatting.

Just because you are removed from controlling the site later on doesn’t mean you were never cybersquatting in the first place.

That would be like telling a police officer that since you car is currently not moving, it is impossible for him to have caught you speeding 30 second ago.

Do you understand now, or do I have to use smaller words?

Now that we have that definition out of the way, are you going to explain how a case of cybersquatting relates to QubeTV?

“You’re a snotty, arrogant, condescending jerk,”

Ummm… Thanks. I try my best.

  29. Gravatar Icon 29 Squirrel

Then why don’t you just fuck off, Frank?

  30. Gravatar Icon 30 Riddley

Check out the Qubetv Conservative Army people. Your blood will run cold.

  31. Gravatar Icon 31 Nimrod Gently

It’s spelt Pyjamas. Pajamas looks silly.

  32. Gravatar Icon 32 jimmmm

    Wow, Frank, nice hissy fit.

And this Frank-ism, posted without comment: “That’s because I don’t have voices in my head, and I have made myself clear to plenty of people of average intelligence and better than average intelligence on several continents.”

  33. Gravatar Icon 33 Geezer

You damn kids and your new fangled ideas! I thought Cybersquatting was taking a dump in a Russian Gulag.

  34. Gravatar Icon 34 fd10801

squirrel: Why don’t you just $$^&^ my &^&((^&(

And if I make any one of you uncomfortable, you can all leave.

    How’s that sound?

Is that the liberal tolerance you guys are always bragging about?

You do realize that when I am totally disgusted with creeps like you I do leave…

When I’m “ordered” off the site by jerks like squirrel, I just become determined to stay.

So you decide: Be a jerk like squirrel, a condescending arrogant prick like CSS, or a juvenile bully like Jimmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

I’ll never leave. You know that saying that begins, “You can catch more flies with honey…”? Let’s just say, you’ll never get me out of here with vinegar.

  35. Gravatar Icon 35 fd10801

BTW, jimmmm, you know, of course, that if you weren’t a pussy, and had a real eMail, I’d tell you what I really think of you

  36. Gravatar Icon 36 Ouch

I’m surprised you pay any attention to jimmmm considering he’s a pussy.

  37. Gravatar Icon 37 Randy Brown

    Francois whined:

And if I make any one of you uncomfortable, you can all leave.

Well, bee-otch, if this was YOUR blog, you’d have a point. However, since this happens to be Oliver Willis Dot Com, and your view is in the extreme minority, you can quit making an even bigger ass of yourself than usual and FOAD.

  38. Gravatar Icon 38 C.S.Strowbridge

Okay, Frank, I’m glad you got that off your chest.

Now, are you going to answer my questions?

1.) How does a case of cyberquatting show Obama is corrupt?

2.) What does cybersquatting have to do with QubeTV?

  39. Gravatar Icon 39 fd10801

A little business, first: This isn’t RandyBrown.com, either. So crawl up your ass until you see daylight, OK?

Now, CSS, this is obviously anti - climactic, but here goes: My point was that (from my POV) they had bullied this kid off the spot. While your point about cybersquatting was well taken, and I had misinterpreted its meaning, I still think they had mistreated the kid.

So, since I mistrust and generally dislike, all politicians (an attitude which increased, for me, the likelihood that Obama was the villain of the piece), my attitude was, “It doesn’t matter what the technology is, all politicians are crooked“.

  40. Gravatar Icon 40 C.S.Strowbridge

That still doesn’t make sense, Frank.

QubeTV isn’t about corruption, it’s about creating your own reality to avoid hear opposing viewpoints.

YouTube doesn’t have a liberal bias, but it does have liberal points of view expressed on it, and that’s enough for conservatives to find it unacceptable.

  41. Gravatar Icon 41 fd10801

I know QubeTV isn’t about corruption.
Muscling a kid off a URL is.

I hate it when people tell me the things I type don’t make sense.

Because when other people type things that don’t make sense to me, I know they never will. It’s like we’re traveling in two different time lines that can’t ever touch or the Universe will instantly vanish, or something.

    { We’re like the “black and white guy” and the “white and black guy” on Star Trek. }

You don’t. There are about three other people on this blog that are the same way. What they are saying is, “Make it understandable to me”.

    I can’t.

  42. Gravatar Icon 42 C.S.Strowbridge

“I know QubeTV isn’t about corruption.
Muscling a kid off a URL is.”

    Two points:

1.) Then why did you bring it up in a thread about QubeTV?

2.) He didn’t muscle the kid, the URL contained his name and MySpace probably has rules dealing with cyber squatting.

“I hate it when people tell me the things I type don’t make sense.”

Try making sense when you type.

“You don’t. There are about three other people on this blog that are the same way. What they are saying is, “Make it understandable to me”.
    I can’t.”

If there are multiple people who can’t understand you, then the problem is probably with you. You can’t communicate for unknown reason, don’t blame us.

  43. Gravatar Icon 43 fd10801

MY point was that regardless of the technology, all politicians are power hungry and really don’t care about individuals.

You can “probably” all over the place, but you actually don’t KNOW what happened.

And, finally, I said there were “about three other people”, that were like YOU.

I didn’t say that when I type a comment, there were often as many as three people who didn’t understand me.

The latter would make your criticism (”If there are multiple people who can’t understand you, then the problem is probably with you.”) sensible. But since the former is the case, the problem is probably with you.

I am at least willing to concede that it is not really a problem. It is you who felt the need to assign blame. And that is most definitely, your problem.

NO problem in communication is unipolar.

  44. Gravatar Icon 44 C.S.Strowbridge

“MY point was that regardless of the technology, all politicians are power hungry and really don’t care about individuals.”

The URL is Obama’s name. It’s his fucking name. Of course he wants control over a site that uses his name as the URL. It has nothing to do with being power hungry.

“You can “probably” all over the place, but you actually don’t KNOW what happened.”

Neither do you, but you seem to be making strong claims about the matter.
