Fred Thompson’s Cavalcade Of Banality

Actor Fred Thompson this week sits us down to lecture fred thompsonabout how it just ain’t right to have bad guys in pro sports, cause golly gosh darn it all to heck in a handbasket what about the kids.

You know, I for one am glad actor Fred Thompson is bringing up this issue once and for all, because the mainstream press (with the exception of ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN Deportes, Comcast Sportsnet, MASN, NECN, every local tv and radio outlet, and thousands of blogs focused on sports, politics, and pop culture) refuses to report this story.

No wonder the guy should be president.

Why all the attention on Fred Thompson, Oliver? A guy can’t write an editorial?

Do you disagree with the editorial? What’s the point here? He makes you nervous, so you need to bash him for his non-political writings too?

I love how every time I write about these guys - and I’ve written about all the major ones and even Tom Tancredo - some con thinks I’m scared of their pet Republican. As I stated above, there’s nothing to disagree with this editorial, it’s as banal as a dissertation on how blue the sky is or how wet water is - it states the obvious and the only reason NRO ran it is because its Thompson and the only reason anyone cares is because of his accent.
