The right claims Nancy Pelosi ignored Gen. Petraeus, but she talked to him.
General Petraeus and I had a very informative half-hour discussion yesterday, which included the assessment of the situation in Iraq that he will share with other House Members today. I appreciated his report and his responses to my questions on security and political issues in Iraq. We share a conviction that the war in Iraq will not be resolved militarily, and I look forward to future reports from him on the effects of President Bush’s escalation plan.

The truth is the Left made SUCH a big deal about how Pelosi had every right to go to Syria, that being Speaker and being third in line for the Presidency made her SO important and it mattered SO much that she absolutely, positively NEEDED to take a DIRECT and PERSONAL hand in things…
…Yet hypocritical CROCK that the media is correctly pointing out today is that while she could travel around the world to meet with a major terrorist supporter, she couldn’t freakin’ make the time to personally meet with the actual military leader that’s in charge of OUR forces — a leader, mind you, that the Democrats themselves roundly applauded and patted on the back and who were seen wiping mock tears from their hypocritical eyes, all while saying “God speed! God be with you, General! We believe in you!”

“Similar” to the classified assessment given to other lawmakers? I hope that Nancy was able to arrange this chat on a secure (i.e. encrypted) phone line, otherwise I seriously doubt that Petraeus would have shared ANY classified info with her on an unsecured line.
