Adult Stem Cells Kill

Another inconvenient truth.

They’re mass murderers, in fact. In only five years between 2000 and 2004, adult stem cells used in some 25,000 bone marrow transplant treatments have been complicit in at least 3,629 American deaths, 624 of which involved children under the age of 18, according to the National Center for Health Statistics. If the trend continues, adult stem cells will claim their 5,000th victim since 2000 this year.

Wow, that was interesting. I wonder what the response will be to that.

Shame he used perl though. perl sucks.

Here’s an inconvenient truth for you, Oliver: The only place that story appears is in a Commentary in an IT online journal, written by a non-doctor.

The question is: How long will take for that story to be treated as gospel by the left wing blogosphere?

I’m betting at least 10 blogs — two majors — by Friday.

Wired is hardly an online IT journal.

Janus Daniels: Well, then, I better not tell you what I think of you for making that comment.

I didn’t attack the author at all — repeat, at all.

I merely pointed out that he was not a doctor. Is he a doctor? No.

I might add that he introduces the article by claiming that he did what amounts to a “word analysis”, and that he makes no claim to medical expertise.

Now can I tell you what I think of you? Huh? Huh? Can I? Can I?
