The Upside Of Being On The Side Of The Good Guys

Rush Limbaugh: Racist, Drug Addict, Misogynist, Hatemongerer

My hero, Dick Cheney, is back. The highest levels of the administration are not backing down. He was on Good Morning America today from Sydney, Australia. Correspondent Jonathan Karl again talking to him. Question: “The speaker of the house was so upset about your comment that she called the White House to complain.” But Cheney did not back down.

Barack Obama: Husband, Father, Senator, Role Model, Possible President

Obama, speaking at a massive outdoor rally in Austin, Texas, said British Prime Minister Tony Blair’s decision this week to withdraw 1,600 troops is a recognition that Iraq’s problems can’t be solved militarily.

“Now if Tony Blair can understand that, then why can’t George Bush and Dick Cheney understand that?” Obama asked thousands of supporters who gathered in the rain to hear him. “In fact, Dick Cheney said this is all part of the plan (and) it was a good thing that Tony Blair was withdrawing, even as the administration is preparing to put 20,000 more of our young men and women in.

“Now, keep in mind, this is the same guy that said we’d be greeted as liberators, the same guy that said that we’re in the last throes. I’m sure he forecast sun today,” Obama said to laughter from supporters holding campaign signs over their heads to keep dry. “When Dick Cheney says it’s a good thing, you know that you’ve probably got some big problems.”

Now, it is a little unfair. Because in a battle of wits between Dick Cheney, Rush Limbaugh and Barack Obama… Cheney and Limbaugh are going in unarmed.

What’s he doing in Australia? Whipping a leather-clad John Howard?

Actually the junior senator Obama was less than brilliant. He is inexperienced and immature and it shows. He misstated Blairs position and he has also antagonized Australia. He needs to wise up on foreign policy.

Rush Limbaugh has blown away every brillaint progressive contender to the talk radio throne. He is truly brilliant in his milieu. Cheney has been a corporate exec, Sec of Defense and Veep. That makes Obama’s junior senator resume look puny.

Yeah Dugger, and Scorsese doesn’t have an Oscar for Best Director but Kevin Costner does. So Costner must be the better film director.

Limbaugh was also fired from the most prominent job he’s ever had after he revealed he was a race baiter, and Cheney is about 3-to-1 to end up in a jail cell with his buddy Scooter and 2-to-1 to be remembered by history as one of our country’s worst and most destructive VPs.

Unfortunatley Limbaugh’s milieu does not include telling the truth. He’s a paid propagandist.

    Cheney simply has no ethics.

If inexperience and immaturity means one has a better grasp of reality, and not pissing on my leg and telling me it’s raining, then put me down for some.

That’s a faulty analogy, Roundhead. Costner is a pretty good director (The Postman notwithstanding)

It’s about time someone started belittling Dick Cheney. That’ll probably get him going to the point where he’ll say something else stupid and elevate Obama’s status even further.

The Democrats need to treat Bush and Cheney as if they were irrelevant pariahs. Considering their inability to run again and their approval ratings, they are.

roundhead: The establishment will never put their buds in jail. What, do you assume that the Democrats have cojones or something?

Nimrod: Costner also gave directed Waterworld. And his best film is Dances…which is not a terrible flick…but not exactly Goodfellas, Mean Streets, Raging Bull, Gangs of New York, etc, etc, etc….the point being is that Costner can be a “good” director. Marty is a great one.

Diamond: One can always have faith, right? Eh, it’s okay. If I really wanted to illustrate the idiocy of Chuckles Cheney, I’d dig up some of his pre-war pronouncements.

Unarmed but still fun. Obama can hit hard and fast.
He will also be a great president

IIRC, Dances with Wolves beat out Goodfellas for Best Picture. A screwjob as bad as 1968 Best Actress (Vanessa Redgrave losing to a TIE of Streisand and Shirley MacLaine), or Apocalypse Now being topped by Kramer vs. Kramer.

Aah, but when Wolves first came out on VHS, most VCRs couldn’t handle it: Orion tried to fit a 3-hour movie on one cassette in SP mode; consequently the tape was too thin and tended to foul up or break. Justice, I say!

Kevin Reynolds directed Waterworld, mostly, Costner just picked up the slack uncredited. And it’s not a bad film anyway.

The point is, Costner’s a good director, which makes him wrong for the analogy if he represents Rush Limbaugh, who has never been good for anything in his life.

Ridicule is the best way to deal with cheney’s war profiteering ass.

As often as Joe Biden steps in it, he did sum it up nicely when talking about cheney when he said nobody listens to him anymore, he has zero credibility.
