Why is Sen. Edwards wasting money on the godforsaken Second Life? None of the candidates should waste their cash their, its so much hype built on not much else more. I remember how in the late ’90s and early ’00s money was thrown at “virtual worlds” and it was a waste there.

Given what happened to whatshername who was attacked in second life with a bazillion floating penises, I think it takes a lot of balls (and not much brains) to step into 2nd Life as a politician.
On the other hand Oliver, if you have never read the book 2nd Life is based on, “Snow Crash”, then do so now. It really is one of the top five science fiction books written, and has made some notable lists for being one of the top 100 books of literature. It’s quite fun and downright scary how much of it has come to pass.
