    the drowning of New Orleans

That’s become a pretty funny statement.

Oh right, it never happened, it was just a bunch of blacks and other poor folks.

Jay, there is nothing funny about “the drowning of New Orleans,” you God damned sociopath.

Someone needs to remind Barak Obama about the drowning of Mississippi. And that the rebuilding of San Francisco and Chicago took decades.

Actually Oliver, what I am laughing at is your stupid statement. You’ve been making it for quite some time now and it’s just as stupid now as it was 2 days after Katrina struck. The feds didn’t swoop in and save everybody and of course IT IS ALL BUSH’S FAULT! Only we’ve been over this a million times and the fact remains that two Democrats - the Mayor of New Orleans and the Governor of Louisiana share just as much blame, if not more than anybody else for their absolutely HORRID preparation of a deadly hurricane. But guess what people? Oliver merely said their actions “weren’t perfect.”

I’ve just had it with all of this bullshit. The Democrats have control. If they wanted to open up an investigation, they would have or would announce they were doing so. But they won’t. Why? Because once they do, the public gets to see just how horrible a Governor Kathleen Blanco was and what an incompetent stooge she was along with Ray Nagin.

Alas, it is all Bush’s fault.

“White House’s neglect.” What big load of steaming horseshit.

Tell you what? When you bootlickers start calling for investigations and probes into the Democratic administrations and their culpability, Democratics in Congress from the great state of LA who directed monies to all sorts of special interests and away from the Army Corps of Engineers, then maybe I’ll take your ‘outrage’ over Katrina and the response a little more seriously.

Until that time, it’s just a bunch of liberals being hacks.

    Jay,

That’s just a stupid argument. So two Dems were in chrage in Louisiana and New Orleans? Did they say they’d “do whatever it takes” to rebuild New Orleans? No, don’t think so. Who said that? Oh yeah, that Bush who we hack liberals blame for everything…but most especially for not doing what he says he’s going to do. Where’s the money Jay? Where’s the focus on New Orleans? Bush and his allies can somehow persuade Americans to spend billions rebuilding Iraq, but they’ve got nothing to say about rebuilding New Orleans? Why is that Jay?

Spare us Jay. People like you don’t give a crap about New Orleans or the people who live there. The only thing you care about is the tarnish that you’d be licking off of Bush’s boots if somebody gave you the chance.

“The Democrats have control. If they wanted to open up an investigation, they would have or would announce they were doing so. But they won’t. Why?”

Because Liberman’s in charge of the oversight committee, and he’s said he won’t do it. He has his own agenda to pursue, and it doesn’t involve justice for the victims of Katrina. Just his own will to power.

X, and how long does it take to rebuild? Do you think that kind of devastation and destruction gets rebuilt in a couple of years? What planet do you live on? It takes 4-5 years to fucking do road construction and yet, Bush is at fault because New Orleans hasn’t been rebuilt to its previous glory already.

Give me a huge break. You people don’t give a rats ass about New Orleans either. If you did, you’d get your asses down there, roll up your sleeves and do some work. But no. You’d rather bitch and moan and complain about the President. You’re nothing but phonies.

Yeah? Well who decided to put an Independent in charge of a committee? The party that cared more about Lieberman caucusing with them than doing what was right. The Democrats cared more about power as well.

Lieberman didn’t announce he had lost interest in investigating Katrina until this month, Jay. If they throw him out, the whole Dem agenda gets thrown out, and Katrina still doesn’t get investigated. Do you have any fact-based analysis to add?

Permission to cut and paste with modifications, Jay?

Jay, there is something fundamentally wrong with you. First, you laugh at “the drowning of New Orleans” and then you have the audacity to claim that none of us care about the place. Seriously dude, you need to step back and think about your value system.

If you did, you’d get your asses down there, roll up your sleeves and do some work.

Jay, what makes you think we haven’t?

  13. Gravatar Icon 13 Sam

We have to rely on pro-war Lie-berman to police Bush! LOL - Mr. protester don’t get Lie-berman too mad, he might use what US military we have left to attack New Orleans.

  14. Gravatar Icon 14 Duros62

who directed monies to all sorts of special interests and away from the Army Corps of Engineers,

Bullshit. Army corp s of engineers is federal. LA cannot divert funds from a federal agency.

The President can, and did, cut funding for ongoing levee projects.

It is no secret that LA government is corrupt. I’ve often said that if the weather was hotter here in Rhode Island, we’d have to change the state name to Louisiana.

Lot of fault to go around.

The levees that broke had already been upgraded. This is a non-argument.

New Orleans got practically destroyed! LOL!

    Wait. I don’t get it.
