Again, any wonder why they’re going full-out for the manufactured outrage du jour?
Signaling retreat, House Republicans are scaling back television advertising in three highly contested races, officials said Tuesday, including Rep. Curt Weldon’s bid for an 11th term in Pennsylvania and open seats in Colorado and Ohio.
Some of the funds will be spent to help other Republicans in races that remain competitive.
In contrast to the Republican strategic retreat, House Democrats are expanding the number of districts where they are advertising, an indication of confidence that the election is moving their way. In recent days, they have moved into districts in Kansas and Nebraska that have long been in GOP hands.

it isn’t a retreat, it is a “strategic redeployment….”
Agreed
Hey Pedro, how’d that “strategic redeployment” work out when Bush diverted resources from Afghanistan to Iraq? As loud as you and the rest of the Bush lovers shout your case, the rest of America is no longer influenced by it.
The stakes in this election are too high. Too many people don’t care as much about keeping Republicans in power as they do about changing the direction of the country.
I guess America disagrees with the president when he says that Iraq is 7 times more important than catching Osama bin Laden.
so you lefties agree….
Retreat=Strategic Redeployment?
You agree that the GOP is in retreat?
Is there something in Leftist DNA that makes it genetically impossible for them to answer a question? Why are all questions answered with another question? This may explain the difficulty they have being elected to national office.
But, to answer your question, yes, they are in retreat. When you are getting your butt kicked, its time to back up.
But we aren’t getting our butts kicked in Iraq, so why do the liberals want to retreat? And why won’t they just come out and admit they are craven and want to run away?
“…won’t they just come out and admit they are craven and want to run away?”
Maybe because no one has ever said that or alluded to it, either. It is the Regressive’s simplified and, oh I don’t know, wrong interpretation.
It’s really simple. Not “Stay the Course.”
Not “Cut & Run.”
How about “Correct the Course?”
So make up your flipping minds already!
Oliver says that if the republicans stop spending money on a race they are “retreating” and its “cut and run”….but if we stop spending money in Iraq it is “correct the course”?
Do you people LIKE being hypocrites?
Did I say that? No, didn’t think so.
If the Regressives stop spending money on contested races they know they’re gonna lose, it’s cut & run. No one has said we have to stop spending money on Iraq. We should, however, stop wasting money in Iraq. We broke it, we bought it. But not in perpetuity.
That is all. Carry on.
Does anyone ever get the feeling that we’re 5 years behind on the war on terror; and do you ever just want to roll up your sleeves and redirect our resources to surgically remove terrorst in places they REALLY are.
Or do you just want to stay the course in Iraq?
