I am working with limited information but the amazing twist about this is that the name Jim Webb is too long to see the whole name, but George Allen is not. I am not exactly sure how to interpret that.
“. why practically every single irregularity we’ve ever seen with electronic voting machines favors the Republican party?”
Many answers:
Republicans are evil.
Republicans steal elections.
And of course, its all about OILLLLLLLL!
z adura- Webb’s name is to be listed as James H. (Jim) Webb. There are a limited number of characters (I believe it’s 15) that can be displayed on the machine so it cuts off whatever exceeds the maximum number. As a result, on the summary page of the votes, his last name will not be displayed, only “James H. (Jim)” will be shown. George F. Allen does not exceed the maximum number of characters. Therefore, his name is displayed in full.
To your point, Oliver, I have also wondered about that most unlikely of probabilities. I’m not sure, however, that we can say with any certainty that it is true. I haven’t really seen a thorough analysis with supporting documentation but it would be interesting to put some tangible effort to look into this. But without a doubt, the question of voting irregularities and problems are well documented and there is also little doubt that it is the Republicans who have made the supreme effort to exploit, encourage and utilize this fact to their advantage. Here in Ohio there is still a mighty effort by the Republicans to work this flawed system again. That is why it is very important that we be prepared this go-round to spotlight these instances right away and make sure that the rug is not pulled out from under us once again.
Excellently done, my LordAlmighty Dugger, pointing out things that evil homosexual communist dog-raping liberals have said the administration will do in the face of evidence that at least one of those accusations may be based in fact is surely all the proof that anyone would need of how stupid the demo-farts are, and why they’ll lose 150% of their seats in congress this election. Dugger be praised!
Yes, all irregularities favor Republicans. This is the “elephant in the room” that all the media coverage on electronic voting machines are avoiding.
Noone wants to say it out loud because the left have been screaming this since 2002. And if they make a stink about it now, they’ll have to go back and call into question the elections of 2002 and 2004 (and 2000).
The Republicans stole those elections and will attempt to steal this one.
The only difference is that the media is actually reporting on the stupidity of using these machines. We just need one major journalist to have the balls to point out that all the errors benefit Republican candidates…
“We just need one major journalist to have the balls to point out that all the errors benefit Republican candidates…”
Hey! Wait just a d*mn minute, starky. OW just did this. What is he? Chopped liver? I tell ya, OW gets no respect!
BTW, we are well along to stealing this election too. No matter what the polls say, the Republicans just might, just might - I say (moo hahahahahah), keep both houses of Congress. Better stay awake all the long night thinking about ways to stop our evil plans. I understand progressives are crawling back to Sen Nonperson and saying “Come back, Joe. We never really liked that Lamont jerk, anyway.”
I also find it interesting. I think one of two possibilities exist;
1. They come that way from the manufacturer (given Diebold’s principal’s past support of the GOP, that isn’t outside the realm of possibility).
2. The hackers who can easily alter the machine software are Republicans/operatives.
I do however find it hard to beleive that hackers in general would favor the GOP.
Ahhh the twisted webs we weave…
The main reason the MSM who are about 80% democrats are jumping on this story with two feet is, they need to have a plausible reason for a democratic failure to win both houses this election!
You see, if they exposed this horrible act (involving no less than the Barvarian Illuminati AND the Trilateral Commission!), then they won’t be able to use it as an excuse AFTER the democratic defeats. That would force the democrats to actually look inward for their decades of losing….and we can’t have that. The only reason the democrats can possible lose (at least according to them) is some sort of monkey business with the election.
It looks, at this stage, like the Dems will win Congress at least. Try again.
And what decades of losing? A decade, at the most.
There’s more then one way to steal an election.
I really enjoy The Whiskey Bar blog, but I think he misses the boat on the vote fraud issue a bit. He falls into the trap of thinking the entire election needs to be fixed, rather than a few key races. Worse, he simply disregards the elephant in the room, namely HAVA and its mandate to force electronic voting down the throats of every American.
As for vote theft:
there’s always bradblog.com
At the presidential level, yes it has been decades of losing for the Democrats. Beginning with 1968, Democrats have lost seven of ten presidential elections.
And they won two in a row in the nineties, while losing a lot of midterms. It doesn’t matter, a political party is not judged on a damn winning streak.
“It doesn’t matter, a political party is not judged on a damn winning streak.”
Correct, Duros.
Ideas.
Ideas.
By the way- why is it that almost the majority of proven voter fraud has always been perptrated Democrats?
(You know it’s why you hate those voter I.D. laws.)
Uh, I didn’t say that.
Don’t worry, I did and I still don’t know what he’s talking about.
Ahhh, but you see, the long-term success or failure of a political party does indeed play a role. Each election cycle adds a new bar to the graph. And this accumulation of losses is what fuels the frustration of Democrats.
Says Rory, who admits his party runs child molestors for office because “they know how to win”.
Its funny fact, but which party is running a child molester?
Seems to me, the person accused of that crime resigned…IMMEDIATELY, something the democrats could learn from, but heck, those investigations just cost us tax dollars, and we can always raise taxes right?
Let me explain a little more clearly for you nimrod,
When a party loses election after election, it demonstrates that paucity of IDEAS that party has. You see, the voters don’t believe they have anything to offer, so they DON’T VOTE FOR THEM
You can’t make that kind of sweeping judgement call over decades and decades and you know it. It’s just the source of a statistic that you can use to beat people who aren’t you over the head with.
When a party loses election after election, it demonstrates that paucity of IDEAS that party has. You see, the voters don’t believe they have anything to offer, so they DON’T VOTE FOR THEM
See Hoover->Roosevelt, Eisenhower->Kennedy, Ford->Carter (well, maybe a bad example), Bush->Clinton.
Getting back on track here with the subject, I see these accusations of voting machine tampering to be symptomatic of chronic Democrat frustration over the lack of longterm success.
Will it end after the 2006 election? It might. Or might not.
I see potential vote theft by a handfull of people, not the ofen cited legions some imagine are necessary, as being symptomatic of the collapse of genuine democracy, regardless of party affiliation.
