we’re going to try something different to see if we can’t kickstart a solution to the problem. And I mean “we” as in OliverWillis.com the virtual war room (I know I’m not the only damn Democrat to see this movie) of the Democratic party.
CK, man the guns.

Count us in, Oliver.
The only way the Democrats will win (hopefully) both houses and the presidency is if they get tougher. It’s not enough to take the high ground and it isn’t enough to throw the facts about the liars and crooks we have in office in the public’s eye.
The American people seem to be so busy making ends meet and running around like crazed automatons anymore that they don’t even realize what is happening to their country (basically, it’s being hijacked under the guise of protection and moralism by a bunch of swindlers who are neither protecting us or have any morals).
The party needs more angry Bill Clintons and more Olbermanns pulling out all the stops truthfully, and screaming it every chance they get. I know the high road is always preferrable, and I know no one wants to stoop to Karl Rove’s version of mudslinging, but if they can’t get the American people truly ANGRY (which they should be), there is no way they’ll win a clear majority and no way we’ll get this mess straightened out.
Americans seem to only respond to emotion rather than rationale these days - look at Bush’s blatant pandering of the continual threat of another 9/11 to keep himself in office and justify a host of totally un-American ideals (torture, warrantless wiretaps, invading sovereign nations with no clear reason, letting actual terrorists run rampant around the globe, allowing crooks to visit the White House several hundred times, abandoning the populous of New Orleans to the elements … wow I could do this for days).
The Democratic platform slogan shouldn’t be “There’s a better way.” It’s too ambiguous. It should be “Hey America - you got screwed by these guys!”
Let’s take the gloves OFF already!
And someone PLEASE kick Charlie Brown and Eeyore out of their advisory positions.
Lead on CK.
