“Nothing worse than a woman know-it-all”

While canoodling — and I mean canoodling with professional suck-up Chris Matthews, Tom DeLay shared what he really believes about women. Rather than take offense, I applaud DeLay for telling us what he really believes for a change. This is what Republicans need to start doing. Stop pretending, and give in to your true beliefs.

>> Bill O’Reilly chimes in that he thinks a Hillary Clinton presidency would be viewed as “weak” by Bin Laden & Co. — you know, the same Bin Laden who’s still alive and spreading his murder network 5 years after that he-man George Bush said he would “smoke him out of his hole”. I may have my differences with Sen. Clinton, but I’d trust her with America’s safety a million times more than the current Gang of Idiots.

Oliver: “Take offense”? I know your radar on race is broken, but now this is offensive?

You could substitute anything for “woman”: Democrat, liberal — anything.

First of all, we played the “Frank’s afraid of Hispanics” game. You lost.

Second of all, my point, which obviously sailed over your head, and is on its way into space, was that nobody like a “know - it - all” of any kind.

And it so happens that the women you derisively call Suzy Homemaker could, should and would be offended.

Condescension = soft - core bigotry. Welcome to the Jurassic.

I have expressed ambivalence over a Clinton presidency before but no more. I have every confidence that Mrs. Clinton will not hire shoplifters and pedophiles to staff her administration. I am cautiously optimistic that she also won’t be listening to the
neo-con foreign policy chorus in our party.

Moreover, I firmly believe that should Hillary’s Vice President mistakenly shoot one of his hunting partners in a drunken haze or compromise our national security by outing a CIA agent, he’ll appreciate the gravity of the situation and notify her immediately.

So, Frank, in addition to your fear of hispanics taking over America, you now think there’s nothing wrong with calling women who aren’t Suzy Homemaker “know it alls”? I know you come from a different era (Jurassic?) but we’ve progressed past that stage now.

I thought the telling part was that the BugMan was very specific to say “woman” know it all. CM says no one likes a know it all then TD qualifies it with gender.

Otherwise I thought it looked like TD was uncomfortable with the mushy talk from CM - you expected Chris to offer to buy him a drink later to see if he could get lucky.

Sweet….thats what I want to see

If your party won’t run gore, please run Hillary!

That would be SOOO much fun…

If I were one of Hillary Clinton’s advisers, I’d encourage more of this from the wingers because it just pushes Dems like me into her corner.

I found it quite ODD, to say the least, that William F. Buckley came out basically praising Hillary. My how things, and people, change. With regards to good ole boy DeLay… well, what can I say that he couldn’t say better himself. In fact, here are 10 brilliant things he’s said over the years:

Yes Oliver, I agree, tell the truth, and it shall set you free… sorta. He’s “OUTTA HERE”… YIPPIE! One for the good guys, oh and :ahem: GALS!

Um, did anyone notice that Mathews called her a know-it-all, and Delay followed up with his comment? Obviously a light-hearted give-and-take. Get a life.

  10. Gravatar Icon 10 Zappa

uh - yeah noted above - the light hearted give and take - heh…funny in light of how TD will be taking it all the way to the slamma…

I have every confidence that Mrs. Clinton will not hire shoplifters and pedophiles to staff her administration.

No, she’ll just hire the guy who steals National Security Documents and stuffs them down his pants.

Are you equally as outraged that the current administration outed an undercover agent investigating the proliferation of WMD, then covered it up?

There are at least 4 things wrong with that sentence.

I believe Hillary will be tough to beat because she is intelligent enough to run away from the yahoo side of the Democratic party - the Kos-sacks, haven’t yet Move(d)On types, 9/10s OW posters, Murthaphiles, Sheehanians, etc.
She will not run on a surrender/strategic redeployment in Iraq platform. My worries: she will do something to damage the most advanced healthcare system in the world, she will appoint too many ultra liberal advisors/judges, and she will botch the economy - which her husband and Bush have both done good jobs on (Hillsy ,baby. It ain’t broke, don’t fix it.)
Her biggest advantages: Overall Bush/Republican fatigue and the ongoing psychotic hate of Bush by the mainstream media (which Couric at CBS will accelerate).

This analysis brought to you courtesy of Dr. Dugger.

(this post still deserves $10, Mr Rove, because if they think a Republican likes her, they will look for whats wrong with her and within luck they will nominate soembody like AlGore)

    SF,

Are you equally as outraged that the current administration outed an undercover agent investigating the proliferation of WMD, then covered it up?

I mean, that’s related to National Security, isn’t it? Or have you justified it in some abstract way because it’s “your team” doing the evil deeds?

At least Berger admitted his guilt. That’s something.

  15. Gravatar Icon 15 Semanticleo

Wasn’t that little excahnge off-camera (therefore candid)?

    Oh! That impish little leprechaun!

  16. Gravatar Icon 16 SaveFarris

When Clinton left office, there wasn’t any debt? Better retake that Economics class…

  17. Gravatar Icon 17 Quaker in a Basement

she will botch the economy - which her husband and Bush have both done good jobs on

    Haw.

Are you saying that both Clinton and Bush did a good job managing the economy, or that they did a good job botching the economy?

Either way, that’s a tough comparison to make.

  18. Gravatar Icon 18 duros62

    Hmmm… $200+ billion surplus vs. $3 trillion debt. Hmmmm…..

  19. Gravatar Icon 19 duros62

Sorry, deficit. When Clinton left office, there was a surplus. True?

  20. Gravatar Icon 20 Semanticleo

    Dugger;

    Don’t forget the Zinniacs

  21. Gravatar Icon 21 Rounds77

Political Correctness usually precludes comments like this from being said. I’m with Republicans now. Let’s get rid of PC so all these mean-spirited Republicans can speak their hearts out. Only the extreme right wing won’t be offended, and the rest of us can sit back and watch conservatives talk themselves out of their jobs.

  22. Gravatar Icon 22 Dugger

Semant, Can’t use the Zinniacs. Its a flower cult.

    Quaker,

IMO, both have done a good job. Based on overall economic performance. Both are moderates.

“Overall Bush/Republican fatigue and the ongoing psychotic hate of Bush by the mainstream media …”

Do you consider Chris Matthews to be part of the mainstream media? Could you please identify the evidence of “Bush hate” in his exchange with Tom DeLay? DeLay is probably one of the most reviled conservative figures on the Left and Matthews all but offered to felate the guy.
