Art Snobs

I’m glad I’m not alone in my feelings about the love piled on comic artist Chris Ware. Then again, I think J. Scott Campbell, Jim Lee, and John Byrne are among the best illustrators of all time.

The greatest comic book artist of all time was Jack Kirby.

Chris Ware is a wonderful artist; smart, funny and fully realized. I am also a huge fan of Frank Miller’s work, but check out Alan Moores the Watchmen & V for Vandetta - wonderful stuff.

You know Jim Lee has a blog, right? And I agree with you about John Byrne - every time I had a Byrne comic open on the subways, it was like a kid magnet, his storytelling was so clear and welcoming that kids were instantly attracted to it.
