President Bush’s Old Friend To Stand Trial

Oh, “Kenny Boy”, how long its been!

The judge overseeing the fraud and conspiracy trial of Enron Corp. founder Kenneth Lay and former CEO Jeffrey Skilling on Thursday rejected their last-minute bid to halt the trial, saying they couldn’t credibly argue the jury pool is too biased when the panel hasn’t been chosen.

Just like good Republicans, they’re claiming nonexistent bias.

    Ken Lay’s Golf Buddy
Ken Lay played golf with Bill Clinton. Clinton helped Ken Lay get a $3 billion power plant project in India for Enron. Four days before the deal went through, Enron gave $100,000 to the Democratic party

Wow, 100k you say? Well lookee here: http://smh.com.au/articles/2004/07/12/1089484306528.html?from=storylhs
“In May 2001, Enron’s top lobbyists advised the company’s chairman, Ken Lay, that the then-House Majority Whip, Tom DeLay, was pressing for a $US100,000 ($138,000) contribution to his political action committee. The company had already pledged $250,000 to the Republican Party that year.”

    Isn’t accounting wonderful?

Naked Ape, your forgetting the to account for binary style thought process associated with conservatives, you know, ones and zeroes. As in 1. Democrats are equally as guilty for dealing with Lay or 0. Democrats are not guilty-as long as even one has never dealt with Lay. As soon as you can associate one, everyone is equally corrupt, even though the level of corruption isnt even close.

But Clinton is becoming the new Godwin s Law.

The Clenis Corollary to Godwin’s Law is fairly well known in some circles.

Of course, traitorous Repugnicant ditto monkeys who like murdering our soldiers so arrogant Drunken Cokeheaded Usurpers can stuff their friend’s pockets with illegally obtained oil money would have no idea about that sort of thing. Michael Moore is fat, don’cha know…

Awful funny how paid visits to the Lincoln bedroom were tantamount to treason when the last legally elected president did it. Now that they’re being handed out to all the snotty rich Repugnicants, it’s just peachy keen! But that’s how it is when IOKIYAR…

Sorry, DrPedro, you just can’t skip over the close personal friendship that existed between George W. Bush and Kenneth Lay. Trying to paint Clinton as Lay’s friend is just plain dishonest, but you have proven you can remember your talking points or at least dig them out of the filing cabinet you have for talking points and Rush Limbaugh transcripts (which you write yourself). Kenneth lay was Bush’s buddy, they did Buddy things together and Lay gave Bush lots of campaign money (which was probably cheated out of old ladies in the california power selling schemes or other dishonest means) which Bush repaid with political-type favors.
