Governor O’Malley?

It’s time to take back Maryland

Bruce Springsteen’s “Land of Hope and Dreams” blared over the loudspeakers as supporters waved yellow signs proclaiming “Maryland can do better” and a lime-green banner announced the man the crowd had come to see:

Martin O’Malley, native son of Montgomery County, mayor of Baltimore and now Democratic candidate for governor of Maryland.

It’s time to end the Republican Culture of Corruption in the Ehrlich administration.

Damn straight! I think that O Malley will cruise through this election. As much as I dislike Merryland, I doubt that they’ll make the same mistake twice.

I’m more concerned with Virginia, though.

We saw what Bruce Springsteen did for John Kerry.

Yeah, Kerry lost because of Bruce Springsteen…

I have a good friend in Baltimore. She tells me that O’Malley plays bodhran in an Irish band. He plays in neighborhood bars, for fun. Before I knew anything about him politically I liked him for this.

I live in Baltimore. As far as I’m concerned O’Malley is a fat-headed twit–just like the Governor and the President. I’ll vote for him against Erlich (at least he’s our fat-headed twit) but I’ll vote for Duncan over O’Malley. I still believe substance matters.
