   No fair, Republicrits called liberals flip-floppers first, so they own it! Seriously, we have to do more to own the language. We look stupid when we say things like “anti-choice” and “birth tax”. We need to come up with our own language, and not just adapt Republicrit language in reverse.

   It is too much “I’m know you are but what am I” for my tastes.

   Republican+Hypocrit=Republicrit. Have you ever met a Republican that isn’t a hypocrit?

   But do you support a timetable or not? My point: you have what we cyber doctors call OBFS (obsessive Bush focus syndrome). The key issue isn’t whether Bush was consistent between Kosovo 1999 and Iraq 2005 (he can’t, constitutionally, be re-elected), but whether there should be a timetable for Iraq.

   And Ferry, it s a little old to use 9/11 to justify everything. Especially since 9/11 has nothing to do with Iraq.

   And, for what it’s worth, neither did Afghanistan (just saying and all).

   The majority of the hijackers were from Saudi Arabia and Bush has done NOTHING to pursue them.

   Besides, it’s not the first “flip-flop” from Bush, so why should we be surprised at this one?

   First he’s for timetables, then he’s against them. I can’t follow him! I don’t know WHERE he stands!

   You’ve played with the military enough Georgie boy. Time to take your toys away.

   Of course, one could argue that if we leave Iraq, we have more cannon fodder, I mean, troops to invade Iran.

   I think the flip-flop label is boring…and dumb…the statement is basically that we can’t change our mind after we got more data. Shortsighted…

   I do think that the interesting thing is the hypocritical part of the name callers and then the behavior.

   You know what the timetable for Afghanistan is? Killing Bin Laden and ending Al Qaeda. See how easy that is?

   And yes, the “but 9/11 happened” nonsense is beyond the pale now kids. An exit strategy would go a long ways to ensuring that it didn’t happen again.

    “Ending Al Qaeda,” Oliver? You like to shoot for the small stuff, then. Or are you arguing that we shouldn’t leave Afghanistan until the job is done?

    No, the real issue with the lack of timetables in Afghanistan just comes down to partisan politics. Not enough people are coming home from Afghanistan in body bags for the Democrats to make much political hay out of their deaths — as they are able (and willing) to do with Iraq.

    Well attacking Iraq sure isn’t helping ensure another 9/11 doesn’t happen. Since recruitment has skyrocketed and our own intelligence agencies confirm that our current foreign policy is a main reason.

    It will help once we stop thumbing our noses in other peoples business and attacking sovereign nations in an imperial manner.

    Haha, that’s rich - says the Republican whose President constantly mentions 9/11 in every breath, milked 9/11 in their convention, and uses the military as a prop to boost sagging poll numbers.

    But I guess it’s better to turn your back and allow Americans to die when they’ve been sent to fight a war that Bush lied his way in to… makes sense to me.
