Disagree with each other until the cows come home, but I’m done with hosting personal attacks in comments. It’s coming more from wingnut commenters than liberals, but you can all give it pretty good. Enough. There’s a one-strike, no appeal policy now in place.

I allow a lot of stuff in the comments, maybe too much, but in addition to insults I don’t need to tolerate, I will not – repeat – will not print any sort of justification of racism. Specifically, recent posts that I’ve had to send to the circular file from white power types.

As long-time readers know: this is not a freaking democracy.

How Do You Like These Threads?

A question for those of you who are regular (chronic) commenters – what do you prefer: flat comment threads or threaded comment threads. Right now they are threaded, so you can reply directly to comments. Sometimes this works out ok, but other times the indenting, etc. can get wonky. I could flip things back to how they used to be – one big dump of comments. I don’t have a preference either way, but you guys use the comments more than I so let me now… in the comments to this post.

Comments should be back to how they used to be, lost a few comments in the transition back, but it shouldn’t be the end of the world. Log in/register is in the right hand column.

The comments have been a real pain in the ass in the last 24 hours. All of you, from across the spectrum, from Frank’s usual baiting and you guys falling for it, to the unfair attack on Jay, to just the usual b.s.

Tired of it.

Disagree with each other till the cows come home, but try and do it without making wild accusations or talking about people’s mothers or acting like you’re some tough guy who’s actually hiding behind your keyboard.
