My dog C.K. brings the awesome, a week in advance of him turning 9 years old. He has a Batman tag because I moved since he had the Superman one and I haven’t been able to find a pet store that still has the Superman ones in stock.
Also, Fall is the time of year that [...]
I want to write up a longer blog entry about What It All Means to me and my family (particularly my Mom in Jamaica, who has been alternating between Obama chants at the top of her lungs and sessions of jubilant crying) but I just can’t collect my thoughts yet, still. I’m a million miles [...]
I just spoke to my 80-something year old grandmother who lives in Georgia. She got her citizenship a few years ago, and recently voted in her first presidential election. I asked her if she was happy to vote for John McCain.
We laughed.
So, um, go vote.
Oliver Clark questions McCain
There are not a lot of guys in America named Oliver. There are even less black guys in America named Oliver.
So when one makes the news, I have to give him props.
I tried to get in touch via Facebook with Oliver Clark, the man who McCain said probably didn’t know what Fannie [...]
New column on HuffPo: America Wants A President, Not A Drama Queen
This is me versus my best friend in Madden. I’m the ‘Skins, of course.
EA SPORTS World: Madden 09 Video Highlight
Please check out my latest column over on HuffPo.
I’m on vacation right now which is why updates are not as regular as usual. I’m not going anywhere exciting like Hawaii, but I’ll be in the real world for a while.
[Homer] Mmmmmmm…. air conditioning…. [/Homer]
Now I remember why I hate the crap out of summer.
For some reason, Jamaica is really good at track and field.
The Reebok Grand Prix meet took place at Randalls Island on Saturday night, but it was a home crowd for Jamaica’s newest sprint star at 100 meters, Usain Bolt.
And the 6,490 fans were greeted with a stunning performance as Bolt set a world record in [...]
Denver Broncos Cheerleaders are in Denver. Hmmm.
And by we, I mean me. OliverWillis.com is one of the blogs officially credentialed to cover the Democratic convention in Denver. I’ve never been to a convention (a political convention, that is, I’ve *ahem* been to a comic book convention or 10) so this should be pretty cool.
I’m thinking [...]
I took this picture almost two weeks ago. I don’t know much about construction, but I think it’s amazing you can destroy then build a new building in a major city like this and not have the entire block fall over. Science!
Columnist Ed Cone explains in the Greensboro News & Record how I saved the Democratic party and created Barack Obama. Well, not exactly, but he has a good column on the GOP’s “brand” woes and features me heavily.
In 2004, blogger Oliver Willis launched a viral marketing campaign called “Brand Democrat.” The idea was to frame [...]

RELATED: John McCain’s First Term
2013. Wow, we’re finally here. It feels like just yesterday it was 2008 and the world was so different from how it is now, in 2013. My, how things have changed! And strangely, everything changed for the better, especially for me. It’s as if I wrote a fictional account of [...]
I ran into commenter Gyuss Baaltar on the street on in DC today totally randomly.
(Don’t post any BSG spoilers. I’m in season 3 now.)
There is something in this room that I want and I will have it. So help me Dog.
Yes, yes, you have a new camera. Nice. Open the frakking door!
Thats better.
Bonus: This fire alarm is in the hallway outside my apartment, and I don’t trust it. I don’t think if there was a fire and I [...]
I’m planning on attending this event with McCain and Obama tomorrow (thanks to Mediabloggers). I’m probably more interesting in observing the press than the candidates at this point. I’ll report on if there’s any actual swooning for McCain.
