Republican Party Chairman Michael Steele must have liked what he read. When he gave a speech at the National Press Club Monday, he all but read aloud from Castellanos’s memo.

It should also be noted that Castellanos is the man behind one of the most racist ads in U.S. history, the notorious “Hands” ad. He also characterized Hillary Clinton as deserving of the label “white bitch”.

* The woman introing him indicates she used to campaign for Republicans… until they went “a little nuts”
* She indicates that when things go bad (the GOP)… people go black (Steele)
* Another woman on stage gamely trying to get more than 5 people in the crowd to clap for Steele
* Steele makes a groaner about him being there for the NAACP to keep its tax exempt status

They’ve been keeping Michael Steele in a bunker for several weeks now, and the minute he surfaces and opens his mouth something stupid comes out of it as usual, then they walk it back.

Some people wear a hat frontwards, others cocked to the left, he explained. Some wear it backwards, he added, echoing a past statement, “because that’s how they roll.” But “the strength of the party is in this: … the fact that you’re willing to put the damn thing on… The problem we’ve had as a party is: too many of our friends, neighbors, colleagues are taking the hat off, because we’ve decided we don’t like the way they wear it… The GOP is not about how you wear the hat, but the fact that you want to wear the hat.”

You see, Michael Steele is the kind of guy who sees no issue with throwing black people under the bus when its convenient for Michael Steele. And that’s the case with so many black conservatives/Republicans. Even worse, Steele doesn’t have the balls to do it when he’s actually in front of black people.

Luckily for him as RNC chair, he won’t run into too many of those.

Actually, that’s an insult to poo. Michael Steele is spending all this money from RNC donors on his friends and family and that’s the thing they come up with? Are you kidding me? As a friend asked of me when we saw this ad – “You’re doing this, aren’t you?”

It’s like I am. The RNC is now being run as if a liberal blogger were in charge, destroying it from the inside.

Then again, it’s all strategic.
