“Demand for Apple’s laptops appeared to fade following the holiday shopping season, according to a survey of 3,476 consumers by research firm ChangeWave. In a blog post, ChangeWave writes that a survey taken January 5-12 found sagging overall PC demand – and asserts that Apple ‘will be especially hard hit this quarter by the continued economic downturn.’” [Link]

New 17″ Macbook Pro picture
Phil Schiller, the senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing for Apple Inc. revealed the brand new 17″ Macbook Pro today at Macworld 2009 in San Francisco. Schiller said the 17″ Macbook Pro is “the world’s lightest and thinnest 17 inch notebook”. Apple claims that the battery life is 8 hours. The new 17″ Macbook Pro will cost $2799.

“The NY Times dug up some of Dell’s trademarks and they included “Adamo” and “Adamo by Dell.” Sounds pretty posh, doesn’t it? “Turns out that phase two of the ‘I’m a PC ‘ advertising counterattack against Apple was… created on a Mac. … The offending evidence was metadata found in the images of the PC user featured on the ‘I’m a PC’ web site.
